O'Casey's pub turned unemployment center for Irish immigrantsWe've always said if you're looking for work you may as well be drunk while you do it. OK, we haven't always said it, but now that there's a pub/unemployment center in Midtown, we're going to start.

O'Casey's has turned its second floor into a makeshift hub for finding Irish immigrants work legally. The owner, Paul Hurley, hopes he can use his United Restaurant and Tavern Owners Association connections (he's head of the group) to find job leads for the Irish who've come to America looking for work because the unemployment is so high in their homeland -- unlike here, where everything is made of roses and candy, and fairies parade down streets made of gold, handing out job contracts like so many nickels and dimes.

Hurley got the idea to start the center, called Fáilte 32, after reading an article about Irish immigrants looking for work. Now all we need is Dallas BBQ to read an article about Americans in need of a job. Comically oversized margaritas, here we come!
