Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber are likely losing sleep and popping prescription antidepressants now that Andy Rooney's confirmed he has no idea who they are. The nonagenarian "60 Minutes" host is somewhat blown away that, as a typical American, he has no idea who anyone on the Billboard charts is. Given that very few Americans appear every week on CBS well into their 90s would lead one to believe that maybe Rooney's idea of what constitutes "average" is a little off.
Lest you think Rooney is 100 percent out of touch, it's worth noting he admits to being familiar with hot, young stars like Sting and the Rolling Stones, so it's not like he lives under a rock.
Click through to watch Rooney go on about those kids today and name-drop Ella Fitzgerald like the world crankiest old codger.
