"Ferris Bueller's Day Off" is a masterpiece of '80s cinema, as the young, enterprising Ferris fulfills the dream we all had as high school students: to skip school and jet off into the city for adventures with our girl and best friend.

Well, this past Friday, Ferris took the day off again and told us about it on Twitter.

At 8:58 a.m. on the morning of May 7, @Ferris_Bueller_ tweeted: "Really don't feel like going to school today ... Think I have a plan," and he was off.

After grabbing Sloane and escaping the watchful eye of Principal Rooney, they set off on their famous adventures.

Savvy Chicogoans may have noticed Ferris checking in at various establishments around town, like the famous Chez Quis restaurant where Mr. Abe Froman is probably still waiting for his table.

Ferris's Foursquare check-ins certainly alerted his jealous sister, Jeannie, of his whereabouts. And she's not the only one, as Principal Rooney tried to track him down online as well.

After all his adventures ended, and Jeanie wound up covering for him following her encounter with a pre-domestic-violence Charlie Sheen in the police station, Ferris could finally relax and bring the day to a close.

He followed up with "You're still here? It's over. Go home ... Go," leading us to believe this reenactment was a one-time shot.
