What is it about secretaries that makes them so sexy?

There's the "forbidden fruit" angle of dating a co-worker, but we think the main reason is that TV and film insist on making them so damn hot.

Have you ever seen "Mad Men"? Case closed. Sure, there's some '60s commentary going on, maybe some dramatic moments, but at the end of the day, it's all about Christina Hendricks.

Click and sigh through our list of the hottest secretaries film and television have to offer. Go on. What are we paying you for anyway?

Name: Lee Holloway (played by Maggie Gyllenhaal)
Where you know her from:
"Secretary" (2002)

Hobbies outside of work: Well, considering this is a sadomasochism-themed romantic-comedy-drama film (a genre we'd like to see more of, by the way), Lee's hobbies outside the office are strictly, well, spanky, for want of a better word.

Chance she'll break company regulations: You could bet your mortgage, overdraft and extensive sex-toy collection on a bit of desktop-based hanky-spanky. Human resources would be up in arms if they found out -- which only makes it naughtier.

Overall hotness rating (out of 10): Maggie isn't everyone's perfect woman, but the sexual tension makes her a solid 7/10

Name: Pam Beesley (played by Jenna Fischer)
Where you know her from:
"The Office"

Hobbies outside of work: She loves to draw, paint and basically do lots of artsy junk and stuff. When she's not doing that, she's dreaming of Jim, eating mixed berry yogurt or French Onion Sun Chips.

Chance she'll break company regulations: She will ... but it'll take a while, and you'll need to not just love her, but luuurve her, and what's more, luuurve her for ages. We're talking three seasons here.

Overall hotness rating (out of 10): The creators of this show want us to believe she's plain, but she's actually incredibly hot. 8/10

Name: Andrea Sachs (played by Anne Hathaway)
Where you know her from:
"The Devil Wears Prada"

Hobbies outside of work: Being awkward, beautiful and spending time with her equally absurdly handsome boyfriend, Nate, until her job consumes her life entirely. Still, who needs hobbies when you look that good?

Chance she'll break company regulations: Her boss is Meryl Streep in complete-and-utter-bitch mode, so that's zero chance whatsoever.

Overall hotness rating (out of 10): She's super-hot at the start, but once she goes through a makeover montage, she's even flippin' hotter. 9/10

Name: Emily Charlton (played by Emily Blunt)
Where you know her from:
"The Devil Wears Prada"

Hobbies outside of work: As the senior P.A. to Andrea, she mainly follows in her boss's footsteps, by also being a bitch, in and out of work.

Chance she'll break company regulations: More likely than Anne Hathaway's character, but it's still a no show here, despite our demands for a sequel involving the two secretaries going on a bikini road trip.

Overall hotness rating (out of 10): There's something about Emily Blunt. And that something is her hotness. 8/10

Name:
Miss Moneypenny (played by Lois Maxwell)
Where you know her from: the early Bond movies

Hobbies outside of work: As M's personal assistant, Miss Moneypenny has no time for such things as "a social life," preferring to work hard, handle super-secret documents and pine after Jamesh Bondsh.

Chance she'll break company regulations: By golly, there's sexual tension here. Though more traditional Bond girls might get to bed the stallion that is James, we all know his heart is thinking of Moneypenny back home.

Overall hotness rating (Out of 10): Professional, pretty and very good at witty comebacks, she really is a top bird. 7/10

Name: Joan Holloway (played by Christina Hendricks)
Where you know her from:
"Mad Men"

Hobbies outside of work: Playing accordion and singing in French (no, really), being incredibly sassy and finding clothes that'll compliment her astounding physique.

Chance she'll break company regulations: High. But only if you're worthy.

Overall hotness rating (out of 10): By Christ, would you just look at her? 'Nuff said. 9/10

Name: Pepper Potts (played by Gwyneth Paltrow)
Where you know her from:
"Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2"

Hobbies outside of work: Secretly pining for Tony Stark, picking out cocktail dresses for the next Stark Industries function, and doodling pictures of her own super-suit. Probably.

Chance she'll break company regulations: Oh, it's going to happen. Robert Downey Jr., charm personified, and Gwyneth Paltrow, beauty in human form? You better believe it.

Overall hotness rating (out of 10): She really rocks a business suit. 9/10

Name: Marion Crane (played by Janet Leigh)
Where you know her from:
"Psycho"

Hobbies outside of work: Stealing money, driving to remote hotels, dying in showers.

Chance she'll break company regulations: None at all. She is dead, after all.

Overall hotness rating (out of 10): Before she dies: total hottie. After she's dead? Not so much. 7/10

Name: Donna Moss (played by Janel Moloney)
Where you know her from:
"The West Wing"

Hobbies outside of work: She's the senior assistant to deputy White House chief of staff (aka the "deputy deputy chief of staff"), and as she works for the president, her life is her job. Job is life. Life is job. Fortunately for her, and for us, she's hot. So that's nice.

Chance she'll break company regulations: There's a undeniable, unstoppable, perfectly pitched sexual chemistry between Donna and her boss, Josh Lyman, but they're both far too busy being self-important (and running the U.S.) to have any naughty times.

Overall hotness rating (out of 10): An acquired taste, but a no-brainer for politics buffs. 7/10

Name: Cerie Xerox (played by Katrina Bowden)
Where you know her from:
"30 Rock"

Hobbies outside of work: Drinking Snapple, breaking men's hearts and lounging about on sofas wearing hotpants.

Chance she'll break company regulations: With her boss, Liz Lemon? None. With everyone else in the writers' room (almost all men)? Also no chance.

Overall hotness rating (Out of 10): Dumb as a bag of bricks, but boy is she fine. 8/10

Name: Janine Melnitz (played by Annie Potts)
Where you know her from:
"Ghostbusters"

Hobbies outside of work: Little to none. Her extremely poor eyesight combined with her massive glasses make her feel a little shy, and her job isn't something she can really talk about at the bar, you know?

Chance she'll break company regulations: Reasonably high, especially with everyone's favorite parapsychologist-turned-ghost-exterminator Egon looking so gosh darn cute and all.

Overall hotness rating (out of 10): Is it wrong that we like the cartoon version more? 6/10
