The campaigning is over, the kegs are kicked, and the taps are dry. It's finally time to do your duty and vote for America's Next Top Beer -- the one small-scale craft brew that truly belongs in coolers from coast-to-coast.The nominees
Our search was exhaustive. We pulled together an A-Team of beer experts -- minus the van -- and drilled into their wealth of beer knowledge. We also sent out the clarion call of craft beer to you, and suggestions for our Readers' Choice nominee came in from Boston to Hawaii, leaving no sudsy stone unturned. This tireless research and pint-pounding finally lead us here -- it's now time to crown one of these 12 finalists America's Next Top Beer.
The next steps
Over the next week we'll be presenting each of the beers that made the nomination cut. You'll see how our beer experts size them up, and be able to cast your vote. Whichever microbrew earns the most votes by June 4 will be officially recognized as America's Next Top Beer 2010 -- the microbrew we expect to take over taste buds in the next year.
And just in case the prospect of being part of the voting process for America's Next Top Beer isn't enough for you, we've partnered with the Microbrewed Beer of the Month Club to offer a free year-long membership to one lucky Asylum reader. To enter, just leave a comment on the bottom of this post (or any other America's Next Top Beer post until May 27, 2010). We'll randomly select a giveaway winner after we've revealed which microbrew is the winner. For more giveaway details and to read the official rules, click here.

What about any Sam Adams flavor, over 20 if you count their seasonal offerings!?

List is sorely lacking. I can go into numerous beer stores in the Cleveland area and find 12 micros as deserving as those mentioned. It's a start though. Good luck1

There are many good beers across the country of ours. I search out micro-brews any where I go because I enjoy SMALL batch crafted brewed beer, that is what makes it so much better than the major brewed beers. There is no way you can turn a crafted beer into a national item. Yea I know all about Sam Adams, but lets face it their beer is not that good, which leads into another problem, many people have different taste from wheat beers to hop heads, and everything inbetween. There are many beers I have had which I wish I could buy anywhere but that is what the micro brew experence is all about some are good, and some are bad. I enjoy the quest of finding the good brewerys and enjoying a beer made by hand with no artifical anything and brewed forthe proper amount of time, There are alot of good beers but not just one great one

If you like dark beer, like Russian Imperial Stouts, then nothing, absolutely nothing beats the Great Lakes Brewing Company's "Blackout Stout." I find it hard to believe that not a single beer from the Cleveland based company made it onto the the list

My vote is for Bell's Two Hearted Ale, although, I'd like to see Heavy Seas Loose Cannon on the list. Both very balanced with 'drinkability'.

You have an excellent list of beers. However, you should have included Real Ale Brewing Co.'s Real Heavy, Devil's Backbone, and Phoenixx beers.

Alcohol is a drug. It should be treated as such. Want to drink? Go get a prescription from your doctor. Beer certainly tastes like medicine any waY.

I like Fat Tire but there is no way it is better than Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA.

Yeah, but you have to LIKE IPAs better than other beers to think so. I, personally, am not much of a fan of the "hoppy" beers like the IPAs. I prefer the ambers and the darks and the reds.
Though I actually don't care for New Belgium's Fat Tire. And if you're gonna compare IPAs - try their Mighty Arrow. I prefer their 1554 and Skinny Dip. One of my fave beers ever is The Great Adirondack Brewing Company's Abbey Ale.

I tell you what, I've drank a lot of good beer in my 62 years but it's hard to beat Ommegang's Abbey Ale. If you haven't tried it before you vote your missing out on a stunning burst of flavor and a nice buzz to boot.

It's gotta be an IPA if your not going to include an unfiltered wheat beer!!!
