We've never shied away from admitting that we watched "Golden Girls" when we were younger. Remember, this was back in the '80s, before smut was just a mouse click away, and we actually relied on those four dirty-talking geriatric broads to provide us with the kind of mysterious sexual innuendo that has always fascinated the elementary school set.
Sadly, Rue McClanahan, who played Blanche, the Southern belle and most promiscuous of the group, passed away early this morning at age 76. That leaves Betty White, our patron saint, as the only remaining Golden Girl.
As for Rue, thank you for being a friend.
Read on to see why we were thinking about Rue and the Golden Girls the first time we bought condoms, and see an increasingly sentimental photo of the four ladies in action.
