SpliceThe creepy sci-fi thriller "Splice," from "Cube" director Vincenzo Natali, is garnering some of the best reviews of the year. (Critics seem to agree that the ending is pretty messed up.) Is it weird that we find the adult "spliced human" sort of attractive? What? She kinda looks like Lt. Ilia from "Star Trek: The Motion Picture."

Also in theaters:
-- So, in "Get Him to the Greek," Russell Brand is playing his character from "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," but Jonah Hill is a totally different guy? That ... makes sense. (We suppose.)
-- As The Comics Curmudgeon regularly points out, "Marmaduke" is not some lovable mutt meant to be kept as a pet. He is a giant, monstrous killing machine just waiting to clamp his oversize jaw around William H. Macy's neck.
