I guess it is depends on the person and your daily diet. They work great for me. Unlike other energy drinks and pills, I don't get jitters and I do not crash. They will not give you uncontrollable energy that will make you burst in to aerobics or fitness training with a vengence, but the will keep you alert and cognizant. Like with any other think what works for on may not work for all. I am one that can go to sleep on coffee, but not with these drinks. They got me through my MBA.

Tastes like crap, and doesn't work... Coffee works better for me... this stuff was like drinking something nasty and nothing happened... waste of money.

Ok here is the insider scoop on this...if you lack energy or stamina, expecting to get it in a bottle is a mistake.
Instead, increasing your vascularity & muscle mass will do a lot more. Only way I know to do this is to use weights. Weight work-outs will actually increase the diameter of your arteries which in turn increases the blood flow in your body. Since all of your organs, including your brain, require a blood supply, they naturally work better when the flow increases.

I tried it and other things also to increase energy, because as you get older you do slow down but the world doesn't so ya gotta keep up the pace and I'm back to where I was in bhe beginning..just a good ole cup of coffee will do..
I'm 47 yrs old, young but I cna feel my system slowing down which i think is normal, but I'm not gonna start trying all these get quick energy drinks anymore, after having an allergic reaction to one of them, that was it, no more,,and the reaction was just my system starting shaking, my face and arms turned really red, rash like and i felt like I was in a fog, so I got me some dasanti and sat in my car drinking this water, until I felt those feelings leave.... again back to a cup of coffee for me, it always worked in the past, I'm gonna leave all the energy drinks alone...just isn't my cup of tea....PS...talking about tea, theres another one that will get ya going...a good, cold glasss of tea...

The stuff is pure grabage. Take a B-complex vit and a cup of strong coffee and you have MORE than this stuff offers. If you really need a buzz or whatever, take No-doze.

Works great for me. They taste bad, but that all goes away quickly. I work better, and focus more. I can multi-task better, and move quicker. I take them once a week when I have things to do around the house and I zoom through it all very very quickly! When the 5 hours are over it seems to just fade away. I love these things and am happy to know they are good for you! I will continue to use them!

These are the best ever! For many years I took B12 shots and this energy drink is exactly the same effect. Like MOST normal people I only take one/day when needed. I seldom endorse any product but this one is most worthy of my praise tho I am sure it might not work the same on everyone.

So its full of junk. Just what we need, more people revved up and angry. Or more importantly, depnedent on a another chemical. If you are tired, save your money, go to bed, and get some sleep. A good night sleep will give you plenty of energy.

As an experiment I bought a box of four of these for $10, the "5 Hour Energy" brand. I'm sure they vary by brand. For me, coffee makes me feel like crap and makes it hard to sleep, but does not give me energy. I drank a bottle of this stuff at about 2:30 PM yesterday and was HELLA wired all day long. Actually had a bit of trouble getting to sleep at 10PM, normally not a problem for me. I'm 45 years old, work out frequently, good physical shape, excellent diet. I have always dozed off in the afternoon. Uh... not yesterday! I'm going to try it today at 11AM to try to avoid the sleepiness but still get a full day's productivity.
My questions remaining are, will I develop a tolerance so they get less effective, and can I get the same results with a couple B vitamins, a little salt, and a cup of coffee? But at less than $2 per bottle, if it keeps working it's actually not a bad deal I think.

it worked pretty good for me. i bought a box of 12. i drink one before i get on my mountain bike. i do a lot of long distance biking for hours and it gives me the extra energy that i need. too many sports drinks ar high in sugar and calories. im a diabetic so i watch my sugar and carb intake.
