Talk about stereotype! Yours may be 1 woman's perspective, but certainly not all. After 30 years of teaching about snakes, I've found as many men as women who are afraid of snakes. Overall, women tend to be more willing to learn about snakes with an open mind. Those ladies typically wind up appreciating them.

I lived in the desert for 30 plus years and never saw a snake except at the zoo. I recently moved to Michigan and have atleast 1 snake that I know of living in my backyard. I have a panic attack whenever my kids suggest a picnic in the yard. I freak out just thinking about it moving across my path and it's only 1 foot long!!!
