Japanese medical imaging supplier EIZO is not the type of corporation you'd normally expect to feature nude models in its advertisements. But not only is EIZO using naked people to hawk its wares, but it's using their sexy skeletons for the ads.
On top of that, and here's where we come in, they've created a pin-up calendar out of the whole thing. Does anyone else think of Kristanna Loken's seductive hunk of metal in "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines"?
Your phantom boner will be thrilled by the photos we have here -- although only you can answer the classic question: Is it porn?
| Yes -- you can see their bony butts, exposed private parts and, well, I have a shoe fetish. | |
|---|---|
| No -- any actual nudity is just a ghost in the machine. |
Advertolog got a copy of EIZO's press release, which reads: "EIZO medical imaging high precision displays for the examination and diagnosis of radiographs. Whereas craftsmen are showered with pin-up-calendars at the end of every year, this kind of present is less popular among medics. EIZO breaks this taboo. This pin-up calendar shows absolutely every detail."
Thanks, but maybe we didn't want to see every detail on a grinning, friggin' skeleton. Then again, assuming this is porn, maybe we did.

Actually, there are plenty of ways to tell it's a female from just the skeletal structure.

Ummmm, you can't see breasts??? I can most definitely tell that this is a woman, heels or no heels, in most of the photos shown.

Most clothing has things that would show up in an X-ray. Things like fasteners that hold the clothing in place. For example bras have hooks, blouses and shirts usually have buttons. Slacks and trousers have some kind of fastener at the waist. Also an x-ray would indicate clothing as a shadow.

They aren't real XRays. Real Xrays may have been used as an example for the pictures, but these are not real XRays. Very interesting ideas though.

As a radiologic technologist I have to say that this is actually a pretty cool idea. And no I don't think it really constitutes porn. I mean afterall if a child would see this calander they would not know what is going on...then again they may not really know what is going on in a spanktravision calander either :~))) Regardless my opinion is no it is not porn

Maybe not a child under 2? Those poses are pretty erotic, I think a kid with half a brain would see that those aren't normal x-rays... I wouldn't want a kid seeing them, personally.

Porn isn't defined by being recognizable even if they didn't get what it was it is still meant to be sexual. Seeing porn doesn't make you dirty or wrong if it doesn't impede on the way you treat women in your relationships. It can be a healthy thing for adults, but denying this as porn is a natural response due to the fact that it doesn't seem wrong to look at. I really think this is a form of porn. Porn is defined as the portrayal of explicit sexual subject matter for the purposes of sexual excitement and erotic satisfaction. This doesn't let you see it, but it purposefully invokes the thoughts of what would be there. That is the only intent of the picture.

As with much of temptation/seduction.....it's your mind's eye that fills in the gaps/bones. Oh,and yes, the heels help.

It's not porn, but the poses are clearly erotic and the high heels make it more so. I personally like the idea of posing skeletons in life-like positions, but this is a little too sexy and I definitely wouldn't want a kid seeing it. Neat idea though.

If you know what porn is then you know that this is porn. It's intention is a new way to cause arousal using the human form in a magazine or other format. Not saying porn is bad, but recognize it for what it is. Normal X-rays don't hold their hands on their genitals.
