If there's one thing capable of making the majority of men instantly jealous, it's impressive facial hair. Admit it, everyone looks better hairy.

However, even among the multitude of options out there, there's one style which reigns supreme in envy-inducing prowess: the handlebar mustache.

Just ask Larry McClure, whose awesome 31-inch tip-to-tip offering recently bagged him the U.S. title of Best Mustache.

Along with the national title and $1,000 in prize money, Larry, from San Francisco, won the right to compete at the World Beard and Mustache Championships next year, where he would take on some of the world's best whiskers.

But Larry -- whose stache takes 45 minutes of grooming per day in washing, drying, coating in hair spray and then shaping -- wants to get a sponsorship deal before committing to taking part. And with an annual hairspray bill like his, we can see why.

He also knows having great facial hair is not all whisker twiddling; in the past he has trapped it in a car window and almost set fire to it while welding.
