"Author," "journalist," "contrarian," "Antichrist" -- whatever you call Christopher Hitchens, he's one of the most influential public intellectuals of our time. His books, from "God Is Not Great" to "The Trial of Henry Kissinger," as well as his regular columns in Vanity Fair, have garnered much praise and derision, making Hitchens a fixture on the lecture and cable news circuits. Hitchens' latest effort is the memoir "Hitch 22," which recounts his six decades of life. Before embarking on the tour to support the the book, Asylum invited Hitch out for a drink. (After all, his affection for the sauce is well known.) He accepted our invitation and is the subject of our latest installment of "Drinks With Writers" ...

What a sad, little man. Does anyone really take him seriously? I feel so bad for him and the horrible life he must have.

Oh Jeez. I couldn't even watch but 30 seconds of it. The guy is boring as soon as he opens his mouth. It also appears by the way the interview is set up it's trying to make him appear more important than he is. Total failure.

America On-Line (AOL) either purposely or negligently submitted the story about a TEA PARTY without the ability to link onto a story about that subject. If they don't want to talk about it, why headline the subject!

Re: a sleezy article on Einstein and Mozart's sex lives.
This article about Einstein (on "Cracked") has a salacious tone (like your typical tabloid rag) and is more or less worthless. So, the guy had a strong sex life, and apparently was somewhat neurotic--like most of us. Drama, drama, drama..Enough, already!! Honestly, who cares who is having sex with whom? And, as long as an individual is showing some responsibility (like making sure offspring are cared for, and not walking out the door), it's really nobody's business.
I'm not saying we don't have a large collection of (male and female) jerks "out there," but framing everything with this Puritan-like excessively monogamistic frame does none of us an service. I've had it with all the "cheating" ranting and raving. The key is that a relationship works for the participants, and that there is essential honesty, not that they have gone for fifty years and never rubbed their genitals with another living being.
As a matter of fact, much more problematic are folks with NO sex-life, who sublimate this into a drive for power and control...people like Hitler, Himmler, Stalin,John Rockefeller, Henry Ford, J.P.Morgan, Cheney, Rumsfeld...
C'mon, people, grow up!!

He just saw this as a chance to get people's attention. He's just like a wayward elementary school kid. He just wants attention and will be negative just to get it. Frankly, he's British so nothing he says matters bloddy much at all. Even the Brits called him an arse and they know him better than we do.

Tea Partiers are harmless - strong, patriotic, and honest. They are dangerous in they only want their country and constitution back!

I really dislike this man, and his views.
I think, that he is the most sorry man out there. And I feel for the people who must see him everyday.

Lets see Nancy Pelosi said the Tea Party is astro-turf and now Hitchens is calling them dangerous. Poor Liberal wimps, hell is going to strike you in November!

This person is full of himself and out of touch. He's just an arse like the guy before me said. If you believe him and what he writes, get a new life.

t is common knowledge that there are 300 million Muslims willing to become martyrs as a billion moderates yell ALLAHU AKBAR. Islamic expansionists have a two fold purpose, one is to spread sharia law and the other is to obtain the worlds wealth. They seek to replace weak and divided governments with a Caliphate that will pave the way for the glorious reappearance of Imam Mahdi, who will rule the planet for an eternity.

I LOVE it when people use the buzzwords from the glum mormon. I immediately know I don't need to read the entire post of drivel because I KNOW it will be no more than idiotic parroting of utter nonsense.
