Two in five Americans think Jesus Christ will appear on Earth by the year 2050.The Pew Research Center for the People and the Press surveyed 1,546 adults on whether they believe certain events will take place over the next 40-year period.
Among Pew's non-Jesus related findings: 89 percent predict a woman president by 2050, 81 percent believe computers will be able to converse like humans, and 71 percent foresee a cure for cancer.
On the negative end, 58 percent envisioned another world war before 2050, and 53 percent predict the U.S. will suffer a major terrorist attack involving a nuclear weapon.
While it's true life after a nuclear attack would be rough, we still want to stick around until 2050 so we can see Jesus talk to a computer!

I find this hard to believe. I certainly wasn't asked this. I really don't think many Christians outside of the evangelical community would hold such a viewpoint. Certainly, most Catholics after the time of Nostradamus wouldn't agree on putting such a timeframe on Christ's return. Also, most Protestant sects discourage making such predictions.

This is almost like the debate about Jesus' race. Don't need to know. I just know it's going to happen and I am going to make sure I am ready to go with Him when He comes back.
I know this is just a poll but this is also to me something that distracts some people from the more important part--He IS coming back, and we all need to be ready and accept Him into our hearts and lives.
We are definitely seeing events prophesied in the Bible as predictors of the end of days. Look at all the immorality, the violence, the falling away/apostasy from God. It's like God, Jesus, church, Bible are four-lettered words.
As for His race, I don't care what He looks like, I'll just be happy to see Him and tell Him thanks for saving this sinner.

All the violence, immorality and other crap going on. It's part of the human nature, it's who we are really deep down. Some people just aren't able to keep it there.
If Jesus is coming then I'll kick him in the nuts and send him a message to dear ol' daddy that he failed big time with this planet.

If there is a hell then there's only 2 persons that truly belongs there, God and his bastard son, Jesus the mexican ;)
