The Story: "My girlfriend and her ex are extremely good friends. They often have fights, and when that happens she claims that she never wants to speak to him again. She even deleted him from Facebook -- twice. But somehow they always seem to make up and add each other as friends again.

I finally explained to her how uncomfortable this made me, and she said she would stop talking to him. This lasted all of two weeks because they "missed each other." Then they made plans to hang out.

We've been together nine months, and she says she wants to marry me, but I feel like she's just settling for me because he's leaving for the Marines in September and will probably never see her again."
