The world is chock-full of loyal Star Wars fans, but Peter Hygate makes them all look like pansies by comparison.

In addition to his mammoth collection of memorabilia and the fact that he had a Star Wars–themed wedding, the 37-year-old U.K. teacher went so far as to name his two daughters after characters from the movies: Emily Rose Princess Leia and Bethany Violet Skywalker.

Hygate tells us that if it weren't for his wife, "Princess Leia" and "Skywalker" would likely have been his children's first names.

Since the first film's debut in 1977, this Star Wars fanatic has seen the original trilogy over 300 times. And to this day, there are few things sweeter to him than the first time his eyes gazed upon that drive-in theater screen and he read the words "In a galaxy far, far away ..."

In fact, Hygate describes his first Star Wars encounter with the kind of brilliant imagery and fond whispers that others use when recalling how they met their first love.

"I can still remember the entire evening vividly," he tells Asylum. "The hot sand in the play park, the toy in the Cracker Jack popcorn, the girl coming round to put the speaker on the car window."

He continued, "When the movie finally started, I couldn't believe that the day could get any better. Every background character or detail seemed to have been thought about so thoroughly, which, as an inquisitive child, I found constantly fascinating."

Throughout the years, Hygate has incorporated the Force into his work in the classroom, as well as his everyday life.

"A surprising number of lessons often rely on the children's knowledge of events in the Star Wars universe as a way to help explain new concepts," he tells us. "I once began a whole school assembly dressed as Darth Vader, but had to take the mask off when it became evident that the 4-to-5-year-olds were either about to cry or wet themselves."

He also got 70 of his students and colleagues to walk 2 miles dressed in Star Wars outfits to see one of the first showings of "Episode II: Attack of the Clones."

Now that's a noteworthy amount of Star Wars enthusiasm. We can only hope that Hygate has a baby boy sometime in the near future. We're gunning for him to name the tyke Toby-Wan Kenobi.
