Diners at a Japanese restaurant in Australia were amazingly lucky to escape death and serious injury when a car plowed through a window of a busy eatery in Perth. The out-of-control vehicle collided with a bus shortly before smashing into the restaurant.
Dramatic CCTV footage shows how the car, after careening through the window, knocked tables and chairs and sent customers flying -- including a 9-year-old girl who was thrown 3 feet into the air.
While five understandably shaken-up customers were initially taken to the hospital, doctors say no one suffered any serious injuries in the accident.
"All of a sudden my friend started screaming and I turned around and there was a car heading toward the restaurant," one diner said. "It smashed straight through the glass, everyone was screaming and it looked like it had hit somebody."
