For "indoor kids," Saturday morning cartoons were a golden beacon of hope after a long week. Sadly, with more attention focused on cable or satellite programming and children opting for the garbage on the Disney Channel, Saturday morning cartoons are a thing of the past ... or are they? This fall, NBC Universal and ION Media Network will be re-airing classic episodes of "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" as a part of the programming block on their children's network, Qubo.
Fans of the series will finally be able to relive the nostalgia of waking up in the morning to watch He-Man and his Eternian comrades busting the heads of Skeletor's evil forces.
He-Man isn't the only one calling Qubo home; three other shows from the now defunct Filmation animation studio will be bringing classic fun to weekend mornings. NBC and ION have confirmed that "She-Ra: Princess of Power," "BraveStarr" and Filmation's "Ghostbusters" will air as well.
The fall is still a long time coming, but this should give you enough time to decide between eating either Cap'n Crunch or Fruity Pebbles for the big day.
