Here's this week's most outrageous relationship red flag story from the editors of The Little Black Blog of Big Red Flags.

The Story: The last girl I dated was joined at the hip to her mother. They talked on the phone constantly, about all sorts of things that I would have considered private. When I brought the issue up, she made all kinds of excuses so I eventually dropped it.

After a month of dating, I felt like I couldn't say anything around her because I knew it would get back to her mother, who had already begun meddling and taking a very active role in our relationship. Her mom started showing up on our dates, and we'd mysteriously run into her in town every time we went out.

One night my girlfriend had to work late, so she sent her mother on the date with me. When I called to ask her about it, she said, "Oh, just do with my mom whatever you'd have done with me. She hasn't been with a man in a long time."

I dumped them both, and changed my cell number.
