The fifth annual Great Hot Dog Cookoff burned up Brooklyn on Saturday. And when the smoke and smell of charred pig intestines cleared, there were few left standing.

After 17-plus free beers from Kelso Brewery (which hosted the event), over $6,000 was raised for City Harvest and hundreds of people were stuffed to the point of gluttony by having consumed the equivalent of seven hot dogs.

The memorable entries included "The Sanchize Dog," which creators Joseph Maino and Sal Coluccio based on the Mexican hot dogs they create for Jets tailgating days, and "The Best-in-Show Dog," Karol Lu and David Roderick's "all-beef Hummel hot dog topped with spicy slaw, deep-fried pickle chips and a remoulade sauce."

But the greatest of all was undoubtedly from Audience Winner Adam Arce and David Estorino. The latter spoke to Asylum about his inspired idea: a "Godfather"-themed hot dog.

"It all starts out with one of my favorite dishes I love to cook and eat: garlic and oil spaghetti," says Estorino. "While I was experimenting with different variations of hot dog for weeks, my cousin Adam mentioned he saw Paula Deen on television using crushed goldfish crackers in one of her dishes."

From there, it was only a matter of time before he nailed down a name -- "Luca Brasi Sleeps With the Fishes" -- and the general concept of his winning wiener. Keep reading for more on this staggering achievement -- as well as a list of its hilarious ingredients.

The tube-meat masterpiece starts with a prosciutto-wrapped all-beef hot dog sandwiched in a buttered potato bun and topped with an avalanche of heartburn-inducing ingredients, including bacon, pesto, garlic, spaghetti and hot banana peppers. It's then sprinkled with Parmesan, torn mozzarella, parsley and the signature Goldfish crackers. Estorino finishes it off with a drizzle of a basil butter sauce and serves it with an antipasto: green olives, fresh mozzarella and sopressata skewered on a toothpick.

Got all that? Guys, Estorino just gave you the perfect recipe for when you want to impress your girlfriend's dad by making everyone dinner. It's an offer he cannot possibly refuse.

If you missed the Cookoff this year (which, by the way, also included an ice cream hot dog), have no fear, they'll be back again next summer ... and so will Estorino and Arce. "I have so many hot dogs and famous movie lines to use," Estorino gushed to us. "It was so much fun, and I was honored to help contribute to City Harvest."
