It's safe to say that the filmmakers who've contributed to the "Friday the 13th" series aren't striving for realism. You could even make a case that as far as murders go, the on-screen slayings perpetrated by Jason Voorhees are contrived, over the top and sometimes downright silly. Fortunately for them, horror fans don't seem to mind.
