About 1 in 3 Americans list their dream job as actor or actress.According to a Marist Poll of 1,004 Americans, 32 percent would like to be called a "thespian," if they had their choice of any career. That just edges out the 29 percent whose dream job would be professional athlete.
Thirteen percent would like to be a rock star -- however that number is higher among 18-to-29-year-olds. Thirteen is also the percentage of Americans who fantasize most about being president of the United States.
This is more evidence that Ronald Reagan -- president and actor -- really lived the hell out of the American dream.
