On the heels of another run-in with locals a few weeks ago, there's a new video circulating of Sarah Palin, along with her husband Todd, interfacing with their Alaskan brethren. Shot last week at Valdez airport, this latest video features a Hans Moleman sound-alike mutely recording the Palins as they enter the airport ... until Sarah and Todd engage him.
Things get off to an awkward start in the parking lot, as shooter "Hawk" is impishly evasive, and Todd gets a little protective. Once inside the airport though, Todd employs some ninja stealth and winds up right in the guy's face, asking, "Why you shakin' so bad?"
After the jump, check out the video, and let us know if this is a gross overreaction or the normal impulse of a protective husband.
After their initial encounter, Valdez skateboard/espresso impresario Hawk says he turned the camera off, then was surprised when Todd accosted him 15 minutes later, demanding to know why he had taped Sarah, and getting an assist from a member of Greta Van Susteren's staff.
We can all relate to Todd's initial 'tude, as he has no way of knowing what the guy is up to and, despite what Palingates says, standoffishly videotaping a celeb is not the most normal thing in the world to do. There's also a world of difference between what we would do in that situation and what a respected political figure should do.
What's your take on Mr. Sarah Palin's passive-aggressive camera routine?

Man, that family really is full of themselves. I believe most people, if they said anything at all, would have said, "Why did you stick that camera in my wifes face?" But Todd says, "Why did you stick that camera in Sarah Palin's face?" Now whether or not he stuck the camera in anyones face or not is a subject of some debate. But why egotistically throw her full name in there? The Palin's really need to build a bridge and get over themselves!

Considering the Palins are a very high profile couple, I would definitely say that Todd's reaction was underwhelming. I personally don't like being stared at, much less recorded, the man Hawk was extremely rude and should have left this couple alone. He should have been more interested in seeing his wife off at the gate than acting like a quasi- stalker at the airport. I think the Palins were very cordial, maybe too much.

Sarah inc makes a fortune - a fortune off her name and image - those interactions with the public are to be expected - Palin inc was way out of line taping that guy - she should have smiled and moved on -

Hey, the Palin's are thin-skinned. Even if this Hawk guy was "wrong" - the Palins obviously aren't very mature in the way they handled it. School-yard tactics. Immature on the Palins. And I speak, because I come from a Hollywood family who had strangers videotaping them. It goes with the territory. "Boo" to Palins.

The guy would be considered a creepy stalker under normal circumstances. If he was following my wife around like that, high profile or not, I would have stuffed him in a locker in the most remote part of the airport.

I'm kind of with you on this one. Todd really wasn't that aggressive for someone whose wife is getting followed around by a random dude.

I hate Palin, but the guy was a creep, and if it was my wife, he would have gotten a bit more than stuffed in a locker.
