This would only happen in New York. Seriously. This is too weird to be happening all over the place.

Police have finally caught up with the "Cat Lady" robber -- a woman who earned that moniker by putting on a number of disguises (including a cat mask) and robbing stores throughout Queens and Manhattan.

The suspect has been named as Shanna Spalding, 28, aka Purgatory, singer for death metal band Divine Infamy. Spalding/Purgatory got busted when she walked into a boutique in Soho wearing a burka and demanding cash. She had robbed before dressed in a burka, so police were suspicious of her and followed her to the store.

She has been charged with two Manhattan robberies and is a suspect in others. This is why you can't get lazy with your costumes, if that's going to be your M.O. for robbery.
