And that's exactly what happened to New York resident Todd Magill, who jumped 40 floors to what probably should have been certain death, only to wind up with only a broken leg, collapsed lung and shattered ankle. Oh, and he freaking totaled Guy McCormack's 2008 red Dodge Charger (above). Well, technically it belonged to McCormack's wife. Hopefully he's not in trouble with the missus.
Magill jumped off the rooftop of the West End Towers on 52nd Street, where he lived a year ago (apparently security's a little lax), and reached a drop speed of 126 miles per hour before crashing McCormack's car. He's expected to make a full recovery. Aside from the embarrassment, that is. That's probably going to stick around for a while.

The Dodge Charger is really more of a muscle car rather than a sports car. Good in this case as it's a lot bigger target as well. At least it wasn't a Porsche 911 (which IS a sports car), as since the engine is in the back it would have not crumpled like that and the outcome would have most likely been very different.

That Smart car in the background is more of a sports car than the Charger. Epic fail on the authors part.

LOL the first thing I thought was "And the sports car is where?". Didn't even care that the guy didn't die. Does that say something about me?

Not only that, but people put weighty and ugly chrome rims on it more than they do anything else, because that is the target audience it seems and all its good for.
Original Charger? one of the best cars of all time. That? I think it was actually the car committing suicide instead of the way it is portrayed. My SENTRA is more of a sports car than the new Charger, with 6MT to boot. And yeah I go toe to toe with high output v8s with light mods while mine is stock with a system in the back, plus, I can actually take corners in it!

This could not have happen if we adopt Japan's culture of accepting suicides as courage and honorable.

Who cares bout' the car? The guy jumped and landed on that Dodge Charger. Thats the point of the situation. Not about " Where is the sport car? ". Hes freakin lucky to survive. I bet he might changes his way of thinking. My 2 cents.

Not a sports car, ha ha, right, whatever -- but how is it you can fall for FORTY STOREYS, land on something made of steel, go from 126 mph to zero in a fraction of a second, and not die? How is that possible?
