"2012"? "The Poseidon Adventure"? They haven't got anything on this. New footage has come to light from the Pacific Sun cruise liner, which recently got caught in rough seas off New Zealand. It's pretty flippin' scary.
Chairs tumble across the floor, objects fall from desks and passengers scramble frantically while the luxury cruise ship shakes back and forth wildly.
In the clip below, some scamp added the "Inception" theme music for dramatic effect -- and though we shouldn't take enjoyment from what appears to be a bit of a nightmare, it's a touch of genius from this clever YouTuber.
And what about the poor passengers themselves, as you're no doubt wondering? Well, they've been offered 25 percent off their next cruise. An offer we're betting they'll take up on a ship as far away from New Zealand as possible.

It must have been awful for all those passengers. That is enough to put any seasoned cruiser off

Why? A person pays for a cruise, and they ought to expect mother nature to cooperate and provide perfect weather also? I think it's great that the cruise line even offered 25% compensation for something they had zero control over.
This mentality is seriously flawed, Eric. I suspect you're the kind of person who sues McDonalds for millions because you burned your tongue on their coffee.

Had a similar experience on a February sail out of NY back in 1974 on the Italian Lines Rafaello. The storm was coming up the coast and the Captain decided to take her out while the Captain of the QE 2 stayed in port. We were in the main room when the furniture started sliding from side to side. Just got out of the way when a piano came sliding past me. All the band equipment was destroyed and we weren't served meals other than sandwiches for two days but the bar were open and free. Many the passengers headed home the ship when we hit our first port, St. Martins. They had enough excitement to last them some time.

PHAhAHHhA, noobs, dirty landlover should never get on board a ship, I´ve been to sea in a weather twice as bad, except every thing that could slide was strapped onto the floor, it was impossible to move around just hold on for dear life. Still it was a fun experience and I´d do it all over again.!
