The trend of women making out with one another is mainly motivated by a desire to turn guys on.University of California, Santa Barbara, sociology professor Verta Taylor and feminist studies professor Leila J. Rupp examined the girls-making-out-with-girls phenomenon through a series of interviews with college-age women.
They found that there are four reasons women are now more likely to publicly lock lips: the copycat factor -- after all, more female celebrities are doing it; the genuine want for experimentation among otherwise heterosexual females; the fact that many lesbians first express their Sapphic lust in "safe" situations, like a public -- and probably drunken -- kiss.
But, mostly, girls are just doing it so that guys pay attention to them. "Girls may hold boys in thrall with openly sexual displays, but they're still performing for the pleasure of an audience, and the boys are still in the socially dominant position," concluded Taylor and Rupp.
OK, this was a fairly obvious conclusion. But come on, chicks making out -- we can't not write about that.

I like it when chick make out with each other. But, I don't like it when it is solely for attention. I like it when it is because they want it.

Homosexualty is abomonination to God, all of you who are so into this stuff need to know that Jesus is coming back, and all who are participating in these things will stand in judgement before God, God does not say it's ok to be homosexule.

How silly. Religion is silly. Please wake up and be strong yourself. Are you really that weak that you need a god to dictate your life? :)

god didn't create man. Man created god so as to deal with fear factors and to control the mass's. That explains why thier are so many different gods. Why does any 'one' religion, think THIER god is "THE" god of all gods? Foolishness.

I agree. God would hate gay donkeys. No Homosexumules.

Actually, you're wrong. It is never mentioned in the Bible that homosexuality (which means being attracted to the same sex)is wrong (though it does say sexual acts between the same sex isn't that good).
And by the way, do you know what "Homosexualty is abomonination to God" even means? Conservative religious are spitting this sentence out like it meant nothing, and I seriously doubt the masses even know the whole story behind it.

Um, actually, recent discoveries about mistranslations in the Bible shows that the original sentence did not condemn Homosexuals, just cheating on your wife.
They believe it said originally "Thou shall not lay with a man as he does with a women when in holy matrimony, for it is adultery" or something to that effect.
Most of the Bible got seriously mistranslated, because it's been said by word of mouth for decades before it was written down, then it was translated several times over, and mistranslated several times over, and has had stuff added and taken out, and generally messed with.
Go put a paragraph in Google Translator, and run it through several times, in several different languages.
Thats about what happened XD
Therefore, I think I'll be fine when "God" comes to "judge" me for my "sins".

Lars-Arne is right that homosexual acts are much more problematic in Biblical theology than homosexual desires, but homosexual desires are sinful by nature according to Romans 1:26.
What Jane says about the Bible in general and specifically in regard to homosexuality is nonsense from far-out people. The Bible is about as well-preserved as Shakespeare. When Old Testament manuscripts a thousand years older than the oldest known manuscripts were discovered in the Dead Sea caves, the text was found to be the same.

@ conceptualclarity - actually, that's a misconception. The Dead Sea Scrolls (those that weren't sold off, burned for firewood, or just plain misplaced) contained two types of apocryphal text: New Testament writings, and Gnostic writings. What makes it a valuable find for the historians were the Gnostic writings, because that was a (insane) sect of Christianity which was entirely destroyed in the middle of the 3rd century.
The Old Testament, on the other hand, is a collection of most of the writings in the Torah, which in turn was the result of the Jewish codification of their religious laws back around the same time as the very first gospels were being written - so somewhere between AD 50 and AD 100. But this was basically a collecting of works. There's no easy way to know how long any of the given scriptures existed in written form. Some we can point to from references in the New testament, as well as those that reference each other, but that's about it. Even at the time of codification, some had yet to be written down at all.
In other words, don't believe everything you read.
ESPECIALLY if it claims to be the word of God ;)

If you're going Leviticus on me, QUOTE ONE, QUOTE EVERYTHING:
Other "abominations" to God:
Shrimp (Leviticus 11:10)
Shaving (Leviticus 19:22)
Working on Saturdays (Leviticus 19:30)
Poliester (Leviticus 19:19)
Vegetable gardens (Leviticus 19:19)
OMG! How has humanity survived with all these atrocities! Now, imagine just how *horrible* it'd be to shave, dress with poliester clothes, then breakfast shrimp with vegetables of your own garden just to go to work on Saturday! Hell is not enough for that.
I guess God will go for men without beards first. There are more, you know.

Whether the bible is for, against, or neutral on homosexuality is really a moot point, as most of the laws in it have nothing to do with ethics, and the ones that do have already been incorporated into our legal system. Some examples of crimes in the bible: wearing cotton and linen at the same time, working or operating machinery of any kind on the sabbath will give you a death sentence, eating shellfish or pork, beating your slave badly enough that they die in less than a day (the subtext here is that a>it's okay to own slaves & b>as long as it takes more than a day for them to die, beat them as mercilessly as you want), you must not shave your beard, wizards and sorcerers must be stoned to death, cursing your parents is a capital offense, different types of cattle should not be allowed to graze together, and that money you have in your pocket breaks the second commandment, as the dead presidents and eagles are considered graven images.

( How can someone truly belief for even a second that Christ was conservative and a republican at that?!). As to what he must've thought about homosexuality : isn't it just unlikely that a "transhuman" being like Hirself would've had the humanimal smallness of mind to judge people for the behavioral ways in which they express their (mutually agreed) love-bound?!
