High-quality marijuana is cheapest in the Pacific Northwest.The Price of Weed is a crowdsourcing website where marijuana consumers submit how much high-, medium- and low-quality weed costs in their area. It turns out tokers only have to pay $265 for an ounce of kind bud in Oregon, as opposed to shelling out $484 an ounce for the high-quality stuff in Delaware.
Other states for top-notch marijuana on the cheap include Montana at $271 an ounce, Alaska at $295 and Washington state at $310.
If proximity to Canada drives down the price of high-quality weed, then it is probably proximity to Mexico that makes low-quality weed cheaper. An ounce of swag only cost $57 and $60 in Texas and Arizona, respectively. The national average for low-quality weed is about $125 an ounce.
All in all, The Price of Weed should be a source of endless and not-entirely-focused speculation for those who enjoy the psychoactive plant.

Hopefully soon California will have the cheapest buds when we pass Prop 19 ;) Those arguing against Prop 19 have come up with some really lame ass reasons it shouldn't pass...ex "employers who permit employees to sell cosmetics or school candy bars in the office, may now also be required to allow any employee with a "license" to sell marijuana in the office." wtf? Of course, buds are cheaper where there are lesser criminal penalties. As far as names go...I'm sure Canada is no different. Otherwise they wouldn't refer to it as BC Bud eh?

The article is DEAD wrong about prices in Arizona. I grew up there and know different types of bud. You are kidding yourself if you think you can buy an ounce of good stuff for $50 to $60 bucks....ROFL The only thing you would get for that kind of money is moldy old c**p weed no one wants. In the 80s we paid roughly between $150 and $250 an ounce. Here in florida a friend of mine told me some idiot was trying to sell mediocre weed for $400 a quarter in 2010 and I laughed so hard and almost fell on the ground.....lol

Oi...Guys! I live in a country where pot and/or smoking pot is still very illegal, f*ck it... Anyway, the highest quality of "Caniva" (Cannabis Sativa) here is sold at US$ 500,- for a 25Kg IF you buy that exact amount. The stuff is pretty much "scary", 'cuz it'll make you laughing like a screaming horse just by feeling the breeze of wind, thus, makes you very chill when you smoke it before a party (where tons of hot chicks) gets on... A very good nuts, indeed! The point is, more than $100,- for an ounce of good pot?! I ain't gonna laugh anymore no matter how much I smoke it.
