If you engage in a bit of the wacky tobacco, you probably have a pretty good idea of what a gram of marijuana looks like -- maybe even an ounce. But even the most expanded mind would have trouble conceptualizing the sheer mass of 121.5 tons of marijuana. Mexican authorities are calling this haul "the largest seizure in the country's history of marijuana prepared and packed for sale and distribution."
Read on to see more photos of the psychoactive largess ... and how they got rid of it.

The mexican drug cartel is killing people almost daily. I think that qualifies them as criminals.

And the people who steal from others to get monies to purchase drugs are criminals also. Plus the ones who get high and then while in that state beat and kill. Penalties for dealing should be life imprisonment at least. In some countries it is death. Wake up Obama and the group of politicians as a whole. This is a very serious problem. More distructive to us than any others.

I agree 100% with superunknown. When will these law-enforcement officials realize that by keeping weed illegal, all they're doing is supporting organized crime. Doesn't anyone remember what a fiasco the Prohibition Act of 1919 was? All that did was make millions of $$$ for a select few boot-leggers [Joe Kennedy being a main 1] & jump-started the Mafia in the USA.
Does the government actually think that weed-smokers will be deterred by this act of ignorance? Society will ALWAYS want their substances-of-choice & will get them come hell or high-water.
That weed was probably some garbage schwagg that was all brown, compressed, cultivated before maturity & pretty much a lousy smoke. When nowadays, with all the homegrown gourmet smoke that is available, let them dispose of that bricked crap anyway.
Alcohol & tobacco kill hundreds of thousands of people annually. You know how many deaths were caused by cannabis exclusively? 0! The big pharmaceutical companies don't want legalized marijuana & will continue pressuring the feds to keep it illegal. They don't want anyone self-medicating. Politicians are just puppets for the corporate kingpins.

You can tell by the photos they kids hate burning the pot and they were forced into that job by the conspiracy that left them no other options. This is an act of war, Them burning this marijuana is an act of war, AND IF I WERE IN CHARGE OF THESE DRUG CARTELS I would be killing officials involved with these busts and involved with the inspection of boats, have them all killed to send a strong message, because I like Weed, I would kill for weed, Yes I would...

The real war is not against drugs. People around the world thinks that violence in Mexico is because of the drug cartels and it IS NOT. It started because of one of them, but it is not the actual war my country is in. The real problem is a terrorist group called "los zetas" that makes Bosnia look like a kids tale. People in black pickups go kidnapping, killing, rapping. That is the real war we are living in. I mean, common, who cares about a bunch of junkies getting high, let them be. The problem is the violence, not the consumption of illegal substances.
By the way I heard California is about to legalize mariguana on november. Good luck with that, Im not against it, but as the only state on the border with a law that permits its use and transportation, be ready to some abusers riots. Anyway, hope everything goes well on that for you americans. Despite all publicity there is still some of us mexicans around here that respect foreign nations.

For all the money and all the man power it took, that pot could have sold to the "clinics" and taxed..instead they (gov) did a cheech and chong.. up in smoke.. so the tax payers keep paying and losing.. and the gov..somehow cant see a way to benefit from it..but as long as they tax alcohol and tobacco..they cant go wrong..good thinking there..

What a waste. The states and government ned taxes so why not make it legal and create some revenue and jobs. The quality of the pot grown in America would then shut the doors on the crap pot coming in from Mexico and we could also be saving the money we are spending on the DEA to keep their crap out.
