Now, let's get ready to rumble!
The American Atheists Organization threw the first jab at Christmas last week when they put up a billboard outside of the Lincoln Tunnel in North Bergen, N.J. The sign (above, left) shows a nativity scene with the headline: "You KNOW it's a Myth. This season, celebrate REASON!" According to their site, the ad is meant to raise awareness of atheism, encourage other non-believers to "come out of the closet," and open a can of whoop-ass on Christianity's winter-solstice takeover.
Catholics, who do not take kindly to people talking smack about their boo, Jesus Christ, threw a papal counterpunch with their own billboard on the opposite end of the tunnel (above, right), which reads "You know it's real. This season, celebrate Jesus." On it, the Virgin Mary happily coos at her immaculately conceived miracle baby.
Catholic League president Bill Donohue says in a press release that their sign is positive and serves the common good: "After Christian motorists have had their sensibilities assaulted as they exit New Jersey, they will experience a sense of joy and satisfaction as they enter New York City."
Oh, snap! Although we'd argue that the "joy and satisfaction" drivers experience after leaving New Jersey is not from the sign but from leaving New Jersey.
Both billboards will be up through Christmas, so commuters can experience the twin spirits of intolerance and zealotry while they're stuck in traffic. Ah, the holidays.

i don't. there is no point in arguing with religious people, they are religious because they DON'T listen to reason. statistically speaking, the smarter you are the more chance you don't buy into their crap.
arguing with idiots is never productive

I believe with all my heart that Christ Jesus is the son of GOD and I am not an idiot. They know nothing about the people they claim to be idiots, if Christians said anything like that about any other religion we would be vilified and labeled as bigots, intolerants and haters of freedom. Why is it that when Christians vocalize our support of our faith we are zealots and when any other group does so they are heroes? It seems to me the authors of this and many articles like this, and the many other people, who post on the internet, believe that to disagree with them is to be an intolerant zealot; well they may want to take a look in the mirror on that one. I believe we as people, not just Americans are entitled to our beliefs and opinions, however it seems; to be Christian or have an opinion that is Christian tolerant is considered a crime in the modern liberal media. Christians that speak up and speak out are labeled as nuts, believers in fairy tails, child like and unable to think for themselves. Not true, we are just expressing an opinion some do not agree with. This is just my humble opinion. I ask, am I still entitled to an opinion, or do I need to speak only when I agree with the Christian haters? Will they tell me my opinion, shout me down to acquiesce to another opinion or bombard me with all types of vile counters slandering everything from my mother to my character and back again? I know it is not fashionable to be Christian; I was never much for fashionable ideas anyway, they all usually pan out to be a new way to persecute an old idea, the notion that Jesus Christ is the son of the true and only living GOD, Jehovah, the GOD of Israel. Let the haters of Christians and zealous intolerants start posting about what an uneducated nut job I am. I have a Masters in Science, so I guess I qualify as educated, I can reason, I guess I qualify as having common sense, There must be another reason for them to qualify what causes me to believe; they will be correct! It is called Faith. I hope they find it some day, it sure made my life better, hate me if they must, I will not change may mind, notice I do not hide behind some nom de plume. I use my real name, I would like to see the coward haters use their real name; it may just give a little more validity to your argument.

I agree with you. I'm not an idiot and I'm tired of being called stupid just because I believe in God. I've told people that have called me a sheep, that I see nothing wrong with being God's sheep. God healed my son of a bite on his hand and to me that was a miracle. Someday Jesus will return and these cruel people will know the truth.

Relax! There are Humans and Human Beings. Human Beings have a spirit that exist after this world, Humans dont. Its simple you cant give Humans a spirit, and they cannot understand what they can not know.In like fasion you cannot tell a Being he has no spirit. Both peoples are trying to convince each other to be what they are not!Simple Live and let live "IN PEACE"
