If there's anyone who condemns saggy pants more than cranky old people and the belt industry, it's Bobby White, principal of Westside Middle School in Memphis.White launched the "Urkel Initiative" to get his students to wear their britches in a respectable fashion that keeps their scrotes from hanging out.
Those caught sagging will be punished with the ultimate humiliation: Their pants will be jacked up high (a la '90s nerd Steve Urkel) and fastened with twist ties.
The delinquents then have to wear their wedgie-inducing style for the remainder of the day, and their photo will be taken and added to the school's "Wall of Shame." No word on whether they're forced to say in a whiny, high-pitched voice, "Did I do that?"
Keep reading to watch these young saggers get Urkelized.

Guess I'm not sure how I feel about school uniforms. I'm divided about it. If we had to vote about it right now I would probably vote no uniforms. Even though it would stop some problems like pointing out whos parents have the most money or influence, but you will be curbing a lot of other things too like creativity, and indivigallity. Theres a lot of diffrence between dressing guide lines that say that any pants you wear must fit at the waist and not show any part of you body that might be offensive to others as opposed to you must wear this.

I love that this principal is doing. But even he may get in a mass tring. Parents want to let the kids do what they want. Saggy pants in schools is bad, But they are every where you look on the streets. I was at a wallmart last week, and a worker there was bent over restocking, and his butt crack was shinning, and his under wear was saggy too. I am an old woman, and even if I was a young woman, I would disaprove.

Oh it is so high time that an adult somewhere took charge of kids whose obnoxious fashion habits are soooo offensive. My mom told me that when I was earning my own living, I could dress and behave as I pleased, but as long as I was living under her roof ...

I think it's the most disgusting and probably the most uncomfortable style ever. I never could understand how they keep the pants up at all!

I'm all for people having the freedom to dress how ever they want, but wearing your pants down to your butt is stupid. To me, anyone caught wearing their pants like that should have to meet Fleece Johnson. I guarantee after meeting Mr. Johnson, they'll never wear their pants like that again!

Sagging got it's start in jails & prison when prisoners were not allowed to wear belts,so they just let their pants hang. Kids started wearing their pants like that in the early 80's. Now you see it everywhere. I think that it's tacky.

If these morons knew how the "saggy" look started i bet they wouldn't wear there pants like that. It started in prison, the prison bitches wear their pants like that so their boyfriends can get a piece of ass without any problems. So, go ahead, wear your pants like that if you want. Most of the punks that wear their pants like that will wind up in the joint being Big Bubba's bitch anyway.

It's about time that people get back to decency. I never could understand why guys need to wear baggy pants miles too big and with the waist just inches above the "cheeks"... how DO they manage to keep them UP? Just as bad are larger girls walking around in dresses way too short that look like they were poured into them! It is disgusting the way some people dress these days. Congrats to the principle at that school!

I wonder if all the kids doing this dressing fad realize it originated in prison as a way to show you were owned by another inmate and would be protected by them or to invite someone to own and protect them. It depended on if you let them droop in the front or the back which you were advertising. Thats why it is so predominate in gangs because many of there members had done prison time and they saw that the people that had this dress style were left alone (because there owner would find a way to hurt anyone who damaged there property). Which in reality ment they were only sexualy molested by one person or only had to do sexual favores for 1 guy instead of worring about when they would be raped, beat up or killed at random. Thats been a while ago but the style persists and is worn by a lot of people who I get mad at on a daily basis because I have to work harder at work because the indiviguals have to use one hand to hold there pants up and wonder why they do not get as much done at work as I do. That and they use the other hand to instant message on there phone all the time. So I applaud this effort and I must agree that the previouse comment about the ACLA I saw several times is racist. I know just as many white young men that dress this way. It's not a race thing at all its just a dress style now that is inappropriate for places like work, school, court, wedings, family reunions and other such public events. If they want to dress that way at home let them but they should be taught when its appropriate and I think this is a good start.

I've never seen so many comments that were in total agreement about a subject, including mine. Tinman sounded kinda lame on his comment. But there has to be one, at least. Talking about not wanting bigger government, sometimes, it's things like this that calls for more government, like a fashion police force.
There was a time in the fifties when the guys in our school started wearing their pants "hung low on their hips". I think it was after a movie came out where they dressed like that. Even one girl got in on it. It didn't last but a short while, and I never saw any undies and they didn't wear their belts below their butts either.

ACLU won't get involved. It's not a specific group targeted. It's ALL children who wear there pants to there knees. Parents can afford to buy pants and maybe a little larger to save a few bucks so they don't outgrow them in a few months. They can afford a belt to keep the pants up! I would bust my kids arse if he dressed in that manner!

The ones that wear their pants like this are so disgusting. I don't want to see their a**es or anything else of their bodies. They had better hope the police don't chase them or they are not caught in a crowded building when a fire breaks out. They couldn't run! I saw a guy on Cops get chased by a cop and he could not run at all. He fell down and got caught. I wish all the laws would be enforced and they would be arrested for indecent exposure. It's sickening to see this total disrespect for laws and decency.

Kudos to the principal for taking charge and coming up with a creative way to get the kids to follow the rules. We need more school administrators with this kind of courage and ingenuity!

I saw a cop show one night and this young guy was running in a stolen car.He finally spins out and hits a pole and he comes climbing out of the passenger side of the car with a pistol in his hand just as the cop comes around the back of the car. This young black guy was trying to run away down the sidewalk except his pants were below his a**.....like totally pulled down so he couldnt run.The cop saw the pistol and shot him in the side of the face and all this because he wanted to walk around with his pants pulled down.
