Rich Women Prefer Attractive, Older Men

Women who have achieved financial independence seek men who are both older and more attractive, when compared to their less financially secure counterparts.

Scottish researchers asked 3,770 heterosexual adults questions about their financial situation and what they value in a partner. They found that the more financially successful both men and women become, the more they value good looks.

Money, however, has a completely opposite effect on men and women when it comes to their partner's age: The richer a guy gets, the younger a woman he prefers; whereas the more money a woman has, the older a man she prefers.

This throws cold water on the theory that financial independence makes women just like men. It also suggests the whole cougar phenomenon is just another one of those sexy Hollywood myths.

While i do admire your tenacity and courae at this stage of your life, and I'll admit the whole scene is intimidating at any age, the women you're dating are probably passed menopause anyway. I'm guessing our daughters are at most 30 years younger if not less. So you're tapping the late 50's, 60+ pool. Nothing wrong with it, it's just that it's not that young.

i learned from a very close friend at work who i really liked(female) that the very first thing a women checks out is the man's bank account balance. this really floored me because i was raised to think a woman married a man because she love the man for the person he is andlove him no matter what. what happened to this age old rule?i married a chinese woman who was raised in the old ways and customs which is her duty is just three things (1) love and take care of her husband(2) take care of her children(3) run the home and the man is head of house. the wife will pitch in to help husband if needed. the american wifes of today do not care for their husband as a person.the wife will make the man work long hrs like 18 hrs for six days.when he dies of heart attack from overwork,will she care?fat chance hell no but she will have all his money etc.so guys,be smart,if your girlfriend asks you to see your bank account-get rid of her fast. if the girl really loves you,she will pitch in and help you.

First, it's bleedin' Scottish. Nuf said. Second, in the USA, wealthy humans of either sex have distinctly different agendas. The women are just as aware of the gold digger mentality as the men. The successful women I know want a man they are secure with, can laugh with, respect, and who can rattle the headboard when required. The men on the other hand, just want to make up for all the rejections they got when unsuccessful, and be admired by their friends for the young, hard body on their arm. So what if she's a stuttering moron, if she gets too annoying, he can always drive his Porsche down any big city street and find another one willing to make a deal. With the vast majority of this "Girls Gone Wild" generation they present themselves as Bisexual, back-room pornstars, with no illusions that anything more is required for a happy life than to hook a rich guy. As for Hollywood romance and marriage, most are arranged by publicists and agents with the sole purpose of keeping their clients in the public eye. Gays and Lesbians living under fake marriages is practically the rule not the exception. The bottom line... do you want to spend your valuable, irreplacable time with a brainless bimbo or a respected, smart, sexy, faithful partner?

Rich older women prefer attractive older men- who are also rich. Or at least have their own income.
That's the downside with the cougar bit, so many of those cute youngin's can't EVER pay for a dinner.
Meh.
Easier to find a man who appreciates a woman who knows what she's doing and can afford to buy you a present without asking for a loan first.
