In my day, if you wanted to cheat on a Spanish test you had to make a cheat sheet and hide it someplace sneaky -- like the inside of the label on your water bottle. Or you had to actually write in ink on your skin, and there wasn't even a guarantee that what you wrote was gonna be on the test.
