A Turkish man was forced to try and out-run a truck after its driver sped out when a traffic light turned green without seeing the beleaguered pedestrian beneath his windscreen.Bekir Ozcan, 53, was crossing at a junction in the eastern Turkish city of Adiyaman. He was too close to the front of the Total tanker and when the lights changed the driver couldn't see him.
Ozcan must have decided he didn't have enough time to leap out of the way because he tried to out-run the truck. Luckily for him, passing pedestrians quickly alerted the driver who slowed, allowing Ozcan enough time to dive out of the way.
Ozcan was taken to hospital where he was treated for only minor injuries.
