It's one thing to attempt to rob a store with an antique wooden musket; it's quite another to attempt to rob a store with a fake antique wooden musket. Seriously, that's embarrassing.A store in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, was the scene of the attempted crime, where two youths strolled in, one wielding the 3-foot-long version of today's Desert Eagle, the other, well, laughing his head off it seems.
Caught on the shop's CCTV, the other would-be robber is covering his mouth to giggle as his fake weapon-wielding companion makes a fool of himself .
Police have identified the weapon, noting that "it was made from a block of wood with a metal pipe for the barrel."
The two musketeers are still on the run, so if you see two idiots with what looks like a rather unusual walking stick hanging around east Canada, then let us -- and the police -- know.
