Asylum had a pretty good 2010. (At least, we thought so.) And we were pleased to learn today that Regator, a blog directory and search engine, has named us the 18th-best blog of 2010.

Regator's rankings are based on a combination of how often a blog appeared on their site and the opinions of the Regator staff.

The news and tech site The Inquisitr took the top spot, and we ended up a bit farther down the list, nestled between Internet heavyweights Mashable and VBS.TV.

According to Regator: "[Asylum] covers sex, booze, pop culture, skateboarding animals, and everything else under the sun in a humorous, engaging way that (shhhhhhh) people of either gender will love."

Well, thanks, Regator! WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?
