Move over, birds-falling-from-the-sky and massive fish kills -- the latest scene of horror courtesy of the animal kingdom consists of 15,000 tons of animal fat floating in the Houston Ship Channel.In this case, what happened isn't much of a mystery. The beef tallow, which is used for cooking and to make animal feed and soap, leaked into the water from a nearby storage facility. The Coast Guard used fish nets and pitchforks to pick out the fat, which congeals into large chunks (yummy!) when wet.
