If you don't believe Red and Jonny when they describe themselves as "Star Wars geeks," take a look at their Flickr stream, where the couple photographs themselves wearing Stormtrooper helmets in a slew of situations from the banal to outlandish. It'll probably change your mind.

The photo series began on their honeymoon, when the couple found a Stormtrooper helmet at a toy show. "I got Red to put it on and started taking photos of her in it immediately," says Jonny. "We just started taking it everywhere, chronicling our marriage taking photos of ourselves wearing it, coming home and laughing our heads off."

They began posting the images to show friends and family their adventures, but soon found Internet fame, as their Flickr page hit Boing Boing, Digg and Reddit. People even started recognizing the couple on their adventures.

Keep reading to find out more and to see a selection of our favorite images of the couple in costume."People sometimes recognize us when we go to Comic-Con or Fanexpo and even toy shows," says Jonny. "People actually call us out by name. We still get mail every day from someone who says they love us. It's nice."

As an unexpected bonus, all that public geekdom soon led to being interviewed by the official Star Wars magazine. "It is my proudest moment as a Star Wars geek," says Jonny. "I am immortal now."

The couple continue to post images of their adventures on Flickr and their website redandjonny. While still posing in the Stormtrooper outfits, they've recently been seen in giant mascot heads. Jonny says of his wife Red, "I love being married to the most beautiful, cool, amazing woman in the world. We love making each other laugh."

We'll look forward to more of your nerdy cosplay photo adventures, Red and Jonny. But sorry, folks -- when it comes to leaving helmets on while knockin' space boots, the couple reminds us they "are married" and "don't need to wear protection."

We didn't think we were scared of dolls until Susan Marks, director of the documentary "Of Dolls and Murder," introduced us to the haunting dollhouses from "The Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death."

Frances Glessner Lee, a grandmother, based the 20 dioramas in the late 1930s and '40s on actual cases, so that detectives could study crime scenes from every angle. She used only the most mysterious incidents (cases which could have been ruled accidents, murders or suicides) to challenge investigators' abilities to interpret evidence.


"Dollhouses are supposed to represent an idealized version of domestic bliss, and yet these crime-scene dioramas represent a domestic dystopia that is a creepy and horrific reality for many," Marks tells us of her inspiration for "Of Dolls and Murder."

So, next time our kid makes a bloody Dexter vs. Lithgow Barbie diorama, we'll be sure to remember it's all for science. Proving once again that goats are friggin' crazy, a herd of Alpine ibex was seen wandering across the face of a 160-foot-high, near-vertical dam in northern Italy. Typically found in very steep and rocky terrain, at altitudes of up to 15,000 feet, the gravity-defying, wild goats have no fear of falling whether they're climbing up or down the 160-foot-tall dam wall. The Alpine ibex lives in the European Alps and seek refuge at high altitudes to protect themselves from predators. Keep reading for another shot and a video of these spider-goats in action.

Be it a two-headed calf or a six-legged toad, we can't help but welcome mutant creatures with our measly two open arms. Same went for a Wang An, a villager in China who found this six-legged amphibian on his porch. Wang was closing his front door when the toad leaped toward him with such a spring that it almost reached his face.

Every wondered what Pac-Man would look like in real life? Neither did we. That didn't stop artist Jaime Margary from creating a detailed model of what he thinks the cult character would look like if found in the wild. He jokingly calls it Pakku Rotundus. P. Rotundus is the first in a series of works called "8-Bit Labs," which feature creatures based on classic video game characters stored in formaldehyde jars.



Margary's quirky photos make out as if the round icon is being forensically investigated. The 34-year-old artist explains: "The sculpture is finished in resin to give the appearance of a specimen preserved in formaldehyde. I studied skin folds in obese people's necks and bellies, shark eyes, a ferret's anus and Ornate Horned frogs (aka Pac-Man frogs) to do the nose and mouth wrinkles."

We're all for artists getting into their work, but we can't help but be a little creeped out by Margary's methods -- on top of feeling sorry for his ferret.

What's hotter than farm girls? Lara Croft. What's hotter than Lara Croft? Farm girls dressed like Lara Croft. Lucky for us, the Austrian Young Farmers Association put together a calendar for charity that brings us just that.



The girls -- all from farming families -- were picked from hundreds of entries for the calendar, which takes inspiration from women in classic movies, such as Marilyn Monroe in the "The Seven Year Itch," Halle Berry in "Catwoman" and Uma Thurman in "Pulp Fiction." One model explained, "Just because you're from the country, people think you're a bit backward and unsophisticated. We wanted to show people just how classy we are."

Elisabeth Koestinger, head of the Austrian Young Farmers Association, added, "The sexy young farmers calendar is helping to modernize the image of Austrian farmers." Keep reading for a peek at the other saucy jungbauern "young farmers" they have in store.Mia Wallace of "Pulp Fiction"

A man from Wuchang, in central China's Hubei province, was recently accused of animal abuse after teaching his puppy to smoke. Zeng Ziguang, 23, a chef in a local restaurant, slowly trained his puppy, Little Black, to like cigarettes by blowing the smoke into his face. He would reward the dog with food for putting the lit cigarette into his mouth.

Local residents have condemned Zeng's behavior saying he is a "bad pet owner." You think?

Zeng Ziguang, 23, a chef in a local restaurant, bought the puppy, 'Little Black', six months ago. Thinking it would be funny he immediately started to teach him how to smoke. According to Zeng Little Black was smoking within a month. "Now it can smoke a pack a day," he comments.

Even Po the snake is addicted to cigs. Apparently, Po picked up the habit because his owner, Sho Lau, has a 20 cig-a-day habit, and the second-hand smoke is what made Po a nicotine junkie. Said Sho, "He is very tame and one day when I threw a cigarette butt away he went for it and seemed to enjoy having it in his mouth. One thing led to another and before long he was having one cigarette in the morning and another at night."

A tortoise whose owner claimed it is addicted to smoking can apparently finish a cigarette in four minutes. Owner Li Yun from the town of Kouqian in Yongji county, said his pet was addicted to cigarettes after it started smoking smouldering butts he left lying around his garden. The animal is now addicted and can finish a cigarette in four minutes, and gets upset if he can't smoke half a pack a day. He said: "If I don't let it smoke, it swims around crazily in his pond, scratching the sides."

According to Mrs. Li of Beijing her cocker spaniel 'Treasure' is addicted to smoking. "She needs at least two cigarettes a day," she comments. "I have to light one in the ash tray and let her stay beside to suck the smoke." Mrs Li said: "When people smoked she would chase them for the smell and would sometimes even stand up to suck in the smoke." Besides smoking, Treasure also loves cigarette butts. "She eats all the butts, swallows down the tobacco and then spit out the rest."

Ai Ai, a 26-year-old chimpanzee, enjoys a cigarette after a meal in her glass enclosure at the zoo in Xian, in Central China's Shaanxi province, where her keepers claimed she took up the habit after her mate died recently.

The 11-month-old boy is shown putting his mouth to the green glass smoking instrument as if he were using it to smoke marijuana. According to US reports, the tot's teenage mother from Jacksonville, Florida, snapped the photo to show a friend and posted it online. She strenuously denied suggestions that the infant was actually smoking any type of substance from the bong. Child protection services are investigating after being shown the photo by local channel, News4Jax.

A 3-year-old Chinese girl became addicted to smoking and drinking after being hospitalized from a vehicle accident. Her mother, Mrs. Gao, said it all started last February after an accident. The family was waiting to cross a street when a speeding van knocked down young Ya Wen, injuring her severely. But soon her mother found her secretly smoking, up to a pack a day. She said Ya Wen not only stole her husband's cigarettes, but also put cigarettes on their local shop tab.

While you were home polishing your guns in preparation for the "Boardwalk Empire" premiere, furry, four-legged surfers were out hangin' 20 during the Second Annual Surf City Surf Dog competition. Mutts of all shapes and sizes busted out their duck boards and floatees for a ride on the waves of Huntington Beach, CA, in an effort to raise money for various charities. A pilot miraculously survived his S-1 Swift G-IZII glider crashing into a runway at high speed. Mike Newman, 35, suffered three broken vertebrae in the accident, but is expected to make a full recovery. The former race-car driver was performing at the Royal Air Forces Association airshow last month at Shoreham in West Sussex, U.K., when things went wrong.

Forget this past summer's World Cup. Nations are already competing for one that starts in 12 years. Qatar unveiled plans involving stadiums that will not only cost $4 billion to build, they will include a cooling system that ensures temperatures on the field and in the stands remains below 81 degrees Fahrenheit.

Qatar also showcased its plans to spend $42.9 billion on infrastructure projects to be completed by the time the soccer tournament is scheduled to start, including a high-speed rail network and airport. Win or lose, looks like 2022 coaches could be picking their noses in style.

The Al-Rayyan stadium: Designed to include a "media facade," which includes a membrane that acts as a screen for projections: news, commercials, sports updates and current tournament information and matches.




Keep reading to see the other stadiums. The Doha Port stadium: The architecture of the stadium references its location by creating a shape reminiscent of a marine animal.


The Al-Gharafa stadium: The facade will be made up of the colors of the flags of all countries that have qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, in order to symbolize football, as well as friendship, respect and understanding.


The Al-Shamal stadium: It's shape was derived from the traditional dhow, the local fishing boats of the Arabian Gulf.


The Umm Slal stadium: The architectural concept takes it's inspiration from a nearby beautiful old fort.


The Al-Khor stadium: It's inspired by a seashell and looks like a giant eye. It also has a flexible roof and landscaped gardens.


The Sports City stadium: This venue draws it's inspiration from the traditional Arabian tent "architecture."
