Our relationship with Green Peas has been awkward. Maybe a little "Green Peas and You" will sort that out.

I appreciate your humor but rather than slander the Chinese as a whole it would be more proper to say that you found these items in an "Asian" or "Oriental" market. The cockles may be Chinese or Japanese in origin but as for the others specific origins are as follows:
Screw Pine Leaves are from The Philippines
Creamy Collon cookies - Japanese
Silkworm Pupa - Korean
Bacon - Chinese
Crazy Fish - Japanese
Preserved Plum - Chinese
Lactic Acid Bar - Japanese
Green Peas - Japanese
Banana- hard to read the can but most likely Thai in origin
Doctor Cow - Chinese
....since you can't tell the difference between the languages on the cans and bags you fit into the ignorant American stereotype that the Chinese talk about without you knowing about it. FYI, a common Chinese expression from one to another since they are always eager to make money and earn a living when one of them suggests something leisurely for a pursuit is to say "I don't have that kind of American time on my hands".
