May 9th 2011 11:36AM Curry has earned her shot at the anchor chair, but I worry about Natalie Morales as her replacement as news reader. Savannah Guthrie, more of a serious news person, would have been a better choice. Does anyone remember the disastrous match up of Curry and Couric? When those two were on the set together they would talk to each other and forget that they had an audience. I feel that Morales is more likely than Guthrie to fall into such a trap.

Feb 6th 2011 10:45PM I watched most of the halftime show with the "mute" button engaged. Some of the visual effects were pretty good. I found the rap to be tolerable if unintelligible,but the singers sounded like a troupe of cats searching for meals or mates.

Dec 11th 2010 10:08AM The only thing that would make the NCAA consider paying athletes would be if one state were to pass a law that MANDATES payments to student athletes. Technically, students at the three service academies ARE paid--as members of the Armed Forces. I believe that they are required to participate in competitive athletic activities, although not necessarily at the intercollegiate level.

Nov 28th 2010 3:57PM Palin would do well to avoid Bill O'Reilly, too. Unlike Hannity and Beck, O'Reilly considers himself to be a serious news reporter, and on occasion he acts like one. For example, a couple of nights ago I saw him interviewing former President G.W. Bush. He asked the President a few genuine questions. Soft questions, perhaps, but serious questions that deserved serious answers. Mr. Bush panicked and was unable to answer them. If George W. Bush, who always tried his best (his detractors would say that his best was not very good) to do what he thought was right could not stand up to a friendly O'Reilly, how would Palin, who walked away from the only responsible job she ever held, be able to answer Bill?
