Sorry to say, many people are lured by the promises of HOA to provide certain protections and services not knowing just how much they set themselves up to be victimized. It never made sense to me that people would take out mortgages on property that isn't freeheld. In other words, you're paying the mortgage, paying people to tell you what you can do and keeping someone else's name on your deed. All because they promised to cut the grass.
Why give the highschool hall monitor that you hated that kind of power--power to dictate your behavior, harass you and then punk you--Don't we get enough of that from government already?

I believe there's been a law on the books for decades requiring manufacturers of electronics to support product including parts for seven years. If the parts aren't available they have to do something to remedy the situation--But it wouldn't be surpising to find that they've circumvented this.
