New Web Site Allows You to See Who's Googling You {Switched.com}
Oct 3rd 2008 1:34AM Thanks Evan, for filling us in on this interesting site. I'll have to check it out. It may be a great way to get traffic to my safety and security web site.
Scorned Women -- Angry Public Declarations Lacking in Subtlety {Asylum}
Sep 1st 2008 1:32PM My first reaction is this is pretty funny and the guys deserve what they got. I guess that's the female in me. However, after reading the comments and having more time to process the information, I'd have to agree with a couple of the commenters. Clearly, some of these revenge tactics are criminal and whether committed by a scorned woman or man should be prosecuted. There are more legal ways to get your just due.
The gals who caught their husbands on hidden camera were smart. Now they have the evidence to get the kind of revenge that will hurt the offending party and help them tremendously.
As a web site owner of safety and security products, my hidden cameras sell very well. Whether they are purchased by men or women, I can't say, but they are very effective at catching offenses and credible in court proceedings.
Unfortunately, the pictures here add to our entertainment but may actually come back to bite the already hurting wife.

Drunken dad drives off with kids hanging out the door {ParentDish}
Aug 28th 2008 12:29AM I agree! With a web site dedicated to safety and security products, I'm the first one to step up for child safety. Parents are supposed to be the ones securing their childs safety not putting it in jeaprody!
Gas give-a-ways that ease summer travel--a bit {Gadling}
Aug 4th 2008 3:24AM I love the idea. I'm thinking about using a gas card as a way of motivating the visitors to purchase on my safety and security web site.

Radar gun toting boy aims to stop speeders {ParentDish}
Jul 20th 2008 2:04AM Way to go Landon!
Since safety and security are my business, I admire a young man who is able to problem solve on his own and help make his neighborhood a little safer.
Today a Hot Wheels toy radar gun, someday, maybe he’ll be shopping at my store!
Church cancels teen gun giveaway {ParentDish}
Jul 14th 2008 2:41AM It appears to me that the youth retreat was planning to have a shooting competition which probably included some sort of gun education or training prior to the competition.
Yes, guns can kill but so do cars, baseball bats, knives and many other implements. It's not the gun, car or other object that does the killing but the person in whose hand it is found.
The person's misuse of said item can be the result of ignorance, anger or accidental.
Keeping guns, bats or other potentially hurtful objects out of our youths hands is not the answer. Educating them on the proper use of them is and that appears to be what this church was trying to accomplish.
I would also think that, since it is a church function, that they were probably doing some sort of character building activities as well, to go along with the gun event.
Since I have a web site dedicated to safety and security products, One of my activities is to raise awareness for safe gun and non-lethal gun use. This church appears to be on the right track.

Pack of Cigarettes Triggers Gas Station Riot {Asylum}
Jul 8th 2008 2:58AM Since safety is my business, this is one of those times it would have been good to have a non-lethal self defense product in your purse : )
Teen mauled by bear in Alaskan bike race {ParentDish}
Jul 5th 2008 9:55PM I agree with everyone here. It's not productive to cast blame and certainly making cruel comments is wrong.
We should, however, learn from these stories. We should be smart when spending time in an ecotone. (thank you rpilate07!)
Since we are further up the food chain than the bear, we are the ones who should be prepared for this sort of eventuality.
Since safety and security is my business, I'm aware of products that can enhance ones safety but the average person usually isn't, so raising awareness is part of my job.
Bear repellents are easy to purchase and carry along with you when ever you find you will be in an ecotone where you may be faced with a not so friendly teddy.
Lots of places carry them but if you want to visit my store simply click on my name to find the link.
If you find you are often in bear territory, have bear repellent with you at all times and use it if necessary. You'll have a much happier story to tell than this one: )
