Ten Years After: Sharing Final Moments and a Driver's Seat With Dale Earnhardt {Fanhouse Motorsports Blog}

Feb 13th 2011 5:36PM I will never understand the fascination people have with a bunch of millionaires perpetually turning left. That said, wasn't Earnhardt supposedly a notoriously unsafe driver? Wasn't he compared to another dead driver, Jacques Villeneuve, as one who took unnecessary and potentially dangerous risks with not only his own life and sponsor's property, but also every other driver on the track and their sponsor's property? Wasn't it said regularly by many who vilified him that he was "not a good driver, just a reckless driver?"

Too bad I focused on sports instead of something worthwhile! WAH-H-H-H!

Health Care Reform Opponents' Ads Target Obama's Vineyard Vacation {Politics Daily}

Aug 22nd 2009 1:34AM Thats so funny, all you have to do is insert the name "Bush" instead of Obama and you'd get my feelings on the past 8 years. Yep, the twain shall never meet on this one. Go get 'em, Barack! Good on you mate!

Health Care Reform Opponents' Ads Target Obama's Vineyard Vacation {Politics Daily}

Aug 22nd 2009 1:31AM Cleetus Awreetus, you hit the nail on the head. You are absolutely right about Bush and Reagan, the two biggest jokes in the history of the word "leadership." As for the health care plan, once it is passed, just watch these fat-a$$ed republican trailer trash losers be the first ones to line up for their care.

Only an idiot would spit in the face of someone trying to do something good and decent for them, but these people have a history of idiocy. They always vote against their own best self interests, and the good of the country in favor of what their corporate and political masters dictate through clowns like Limbaugh or Beck or Palin. Oh, health care reform is coming, and when it finally does, we can then join the other civilized nations on Earth and finally hold our heads up and say, WE care about EACH OTHER, and not just about ourselves...sadly these morons will have to be dragged kicking and screaming into enlightenment. Oh, well, put on rubber gloves when you get hold of them to start dragging, you don't want any lunacy to rub off.

The new milk jug makes its debut {ParentDish}

Jul 2nd 2008 3:19AM Umm...Milk is for cows. We are humans. We do not need to, nor should we drink this crap.

I remember one day after I turned 40 years old, when I went to get a nice cool drink of milk from the fridge on a hot day. I reached for a cookie to eat with it. I stopped and said to myself, "Why am I eating this cookie when I am not hungry? All I want is a drink." The answer came like a lightning bolt, I was eating a cookie t mask the nasty thick taste (and smell) of milk...a taste I had never liked, and I always (literally) held my breath while drinking it, and then stuffed a bite of something into my mouth to kill the taste as fast as I could.

Then I asked myself the second more important question:"Why am I drinking something that I basically HATED?" That is when the second lightning bolt hit..."Because my Mother told me it was good for me."

Well, I was over 40, and Mom no longer had a say...so I dumped the entire jug down the sink and have not touched a drop in 10 years. Oh, and this logic worked really well for "God" and churchgoing too.

Carrie Underwood Admits Being Cheated On {The Boot}

Apr 26th 2008 5:38AM Aside from Eric the Midget, is this chick on ANYBODY'S radar?!? I mean, who IS she and why is she famous? Some lame Arthur Godfrey style talent show, right? Andy, this one doesn't even deserve the 15 minutes.

Moore Lashes Out on CNN {News Bloggers}

Jul 10th 2007 12:55PM Michael Moore, love him or hate him, is absolutely RIGHT. The media, in it's rush for ratings and a lapdog's seat at the feet of power, has totally dropped the ball when it comes to journalistic integrity. I don't care whether it is the state of health care in this country, an unnecessary war, or the local farm report, the media has failed miserably on all accounts. When Paris Hilton, Phil Spector, and Brad and Angelina are the headlines, we are ALWAYS missing out on important facts that truly affect our lives. When we have an entire so-called news company (Fox) that is merely a shill for the Republican National Committee and the White House, it is a JOKE, people. Get over the fact that you don't like Michael Moore. Admit he is right, no matter how fat, or how ugly or how strident he seems. That stuff does not matter. He is RIGHT with a capital "R".

Sanjay Gupta is no saint. He does not know any more about his stories than does some bubble brained talking head former model doing the fashion report. Experience with your subject matter does NOT make you a journalist! I don't care that he is a neuro surgeon, that does not make him a journalist. I am a cartoonist, does that make me a car mechanic? Even though I might know my way around an engine, can change a radiator, a flat tire, change the oil, install a starter, do some minor electrical and mechanical work, it does not make me qualified to do an ASC certified mechanic's job!!! Those health stories Gupta does are fluff pieces to fill time paid for by pharmaceutical companies, just as Moore says.

I don't care about Gupta's medical credits when he is in the middle of combat surgery. The men should never have been wounded, and he should never have been there, and had we had journalists like Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite, Harry Reasoner, David Brinkley, Chet Huntley, or even Dan Rather asking the proper questions at the proper time, and not tied down by big business tv bowing to the whims of the government, we might not have been at this war as long as we have been, or maybe even never gone in the first place.

Remember, it was not just the hippies and the demonstrators and the left that ended Johnson's administration and helped to end the Viet Nam war, it was journalism showing us the TRUTH, the real body count, night after night on the news.

Johnson's administration ended with no search for a second term because of ONE MAN, Walter Cronkite.

When Cronkite, a pro-troop, World War II era journalist went to Viet Nam and came home with his story and said on the CBS Nightly News that we were in an unwinnable war, Johnson saw it and said, "If I've lost Cronkite, I've lost the nation" and at that point ended all thoughts of seeking another term.

So, get over your bias about Moore's politics, his weight, his looks, or whatever. Think how shallow that makes you when you call him names. Listen to what he says, he at least has the integrity to ask the hard questions.
