The Most Irritating Phrases in the English Language {Lemondrop}
Nov 15th 2008 4:28PM Ok...here's a few related to dating sites....and I will not ever be interested in the men who use them in their profiles....1, "they love to cuddle," and 2. they love to take long walks on the beach.....
They are so overused, I can't stand it!!!!!
Would You Like Firmer Skin? {AOL Hot Searches}
Nov 12th 2008 7:11AM I work for a dermatologist. We do not sell ''firming creams''....There are products that will help the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and make the skin look more radiant, but as far as firming creams go...you are better off spending your money on healthy foods and exercise classes.
Doll pulled over Islamic message {ParentDish}
Oct 10th 2008 10:20PM This is nuts. I don't know what I heard, but I wouldn't worry about it. Kids are going to hear plentyof bad stuff, and it will mainly be from hearing real people. Just read this blog. I think the whole world has gone mad.
Decoding the Emotional Affair {Personal Articles}
Oct 3rd 2008 5:32PM If you are married and having an online emotional relationship, obviously you are not getting your needs met from the marriage. The online relationship is not the cause of the problem, it is a result of the problem.
McCain 'Embarrass' Web Ad Targets Biden {Politics Daily}
Oct 3rd 2008 8:03AM Politics rant I received in an email:
I'm a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight.....
If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you're 'exotic,
different.'
Grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, a quintessential American story.
If your name is Barack you're a radical, unpatriotic Muslim.
Name your kids Willow , Trig and Track, you're a maverick.
Graduate from Harvard Law School and you are unstable.
Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you're well grounded
If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the first
black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive
that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law
professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over
750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human Services
committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of
13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign
Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees, you don't
have any real leadership experience.
If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council
and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as
the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you're qualified to
become the country's second highest ranking executive
If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2
beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a real Christian.
If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and then left your
disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you're a Christian.
If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the
proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society.
If , while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other
option for sex education in your state's school system while your unwed teen
daughter ends up pregnant, you're very responsible.
If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a
prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then
gave that up to raise a family, your family's values don't represent America
's.
If you're husband is nicknamed 'First Dude', with at least one DWI
conviction and no college education, who didn't register to vote until age 25 and
once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA
, your family is extremely admirable.
OK, much clearer now.
Should you take your money out of WaMu? {WalletPop}
Sep 27th 2008 6:18PM My mortgage is with WAMU...I just called them about my homeowner's insurance and they were very helpful. I imagine the new bank will just take over which is how I got with WAMU years ago when they bought out the company I had before. Unfortunately, they have too many people who bought too expensive of homes on speculation. Part of the trouble of the economy is due to the attitude of alot of Americans....they are greedy, live beyond their means, and materialistic. They don't care if their credit cards are maxed out , they need, need, need.......I live in South Florida, where a few years ago, alot of people had to have a big enormous house...and for what, just to pay high taxes ,higher electric bills, plus huge homeowner's insurance premiums....and now here we have it.........
Disney World leads "massacre" of entertainment cutbacks in Theme Park Land {WalletPop}
Sep 9th 2008 11:02PM I' m sorry for the people who will be unemployed, but I never go to Disney world, regardless of the economy...It's an overpriced waste..I wouldn't spend money to stand in a long line in the heat to see a mechanical thing move around., ..I'd much rather go to a museum or a historical site or a tour......
Michael Phelps Is Human, Appears to Enjoy Touching the Skin of Playboy Playmates {Fanhouse Olympics Blog}
Sep 6th 2008 1:15PM Are you being sarcastic about Disney? What about Britney spears sister?
Michael Phelps won't corrupt your kids, why are they reading this crap on aol anyway? Too many parents blame everyone else but themselves.
Michael Phelps Is Human, Appears to Enjoy Touching the Skin of Playboy Playmates {Fanhouse Olympics Blog}
Sep 6th 2008 6:47AM It is true that even a serious high school age competitive swimmer has no social life. My daughter swam about 8 practices a week for years and had about two dates in high school. Her social life revolved around swim team. It worked well for her because it kept her out of trouble and her only spare time was devoted to her school work. Now she swims for recreation only, but devotion to swimming taught her many good lessons.
Solange Slams Fox Anchor {The Boombox}
Sep 1st 2008 9:14PM For someone who doesn't want to be compared with her sister, her video reminds me of ''Dreamgirls'' starring Beyonce....
Solange sounded rude and ignorant, maybe she would have had a chance if she was more grateful to her sister, probably would have never been discovered otherwise.
