Feb 22nd 2010 11:19AM Why is everyone so upset? Did anyone of you read the actress' remarks who played the role? She has downs syndrone herself and is not upset. She said she does not need Sarah Palin to defend her. There are people with downs syndrone who have job interviews and who work because their parents, instead of pitying them, educated and prepared them to be self-sufficient and to be able to live alone should they choose to do so. Hopefully, Sarah Palin will do the same for her son. Lighten up, people. I saw the cartoon as "positive." I think everyone's more upset because Sarah Palin name was used as the downs syndrone young woman's mother. The only reason anyone would be upset is if they are ashamed of people with downs syndrone -- including Sarah Palin.

Dec 10th 2009 10:39PM I get it, Senator Reid. And, you are ABSOLUTELY right. It doesn't matter whether back then those who opposed correcting moral wrongs were republicans or democrats. The point is that history shows their judgment was wrong on not wanting to end slavery, grant women the right to vote, ensure civil rights to all American citizens, etc. The same applies today to the republicans and a few turncoat democrats who history will judge as having been on the wrong side of Health Care Reform. Thank you for publicly making that comparison to Slavery, because it was right on target. And, Senator Reid, don't you dare apologize to the Republicans and to the Benedict Arnold Democrats for calling them out. To me they are traitors to the American people, the majority of whom desperately want and need Health Care Reform.

Dec 9th 2009 7:44PM Everyone is so all up in the Tiger Woods koolade and don't even know the flavor. Seems to me a possibility is that something might have been lacking at home. Wait a minute, before you hurl one of those stones at ME, I am by no means suggesting Tiger was right by cheating. It was so wrong in how he handled whatever he or his wife might have felt was lacking in their marriage. If they tried and could not fix whatever was tempting him to cheat, they should have ended the marriage. Period. I believe she had suspicions all along that all was not right with her marriage. Most women have that intuition about cheating husbands, which might have been the reason she was looking through his phone in the first place. It takes two people to make a marriage work. The lesson: If it doesn't work, END IT; CHEATING will not fix it.

Dec 4th 2009 2:08PM I feel sorry for Tiger because from the time he first came to public attention it was apparent that his parents never instilled within him a sense of self esteem and pride about the part of him that is African American. He has never felt nor accepted his Blackness. He even refused an award from the NAACP honoring his accomplishments as an African American.

He has always run away from being black; hence, dating only white women. Even his marital indiscretions were all with white women. So now he has to pay and pay dearly. Not only financially, but with his dignity as well. He looks like a fool in the eyes of the public because he is "paying" her to stay with him. I do not believe she ever loved him; I believe it was a setup from the beginning and that it was always all about the money which is why she is allowing him to pay her to stay with him. If he didn't have money I do not believe she would have given him a second glance.

I do not object to interracial dating if it comes from a healthy place of accepting love interests regardless of color. But, there is something unhealthy about being ONLY attracted to someone other than a person who shares your own ethnicity. And now we see the result of choosing someone for reasons that are no deeper than skin color. It clouds your judgment in evaluating the character of the whole person and their sincerity about being with you for richer or for poorer. Because if the money is large enough they will stay with you no matter what happens. The lesson: Get help if you're only attracted to people who do not share your own ethnicity. Ask yourself why before you make a commitment that could end up costing you not only your dignity but your fortune as well.

I agree with you, it is pure evil. I am 70 years old and this is the first time I have ever heard such blatant, public calls for the death of any President. But I will tell you the reason why he is treated so much worse. The reason is that he is the first person of color to occupy the white house and by a landslide and it's about to kill some white people that this country has an African American president. That's your reason why they are so hostile towards him and his family. Let's just keep it real. They hate Black people. I want to make it clear that I am NOT referring to ALL white people. Just the sick, racist ones like those who post on this site.

Nov 14th 2009 3:31PM Hi, Patricia, I can understand your cynicism and your criticism because it doesn't seem right that the people you name: atheists, Wall Street thieves, false prophets, etc., have become wealthy without believing in GOD.

But, we need to remember that Satan, the chief force of evil on earth also has the power to offer wealth to those who worship him. Jesus, himself, was tempted by Satan who tried to bribe him with wealth: "Again the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, ''All these things I will give you if You will fall down and worship me." (Matthew 4:8) Jesus rebuffed him.

Many people do not realize that Satan, whose domain is earth now that he's been kicked out of heaven for challenging GOD, also has the ability to reward those who serve him. Those who serve him exhibit his traits of selfishness, hatred, no love for one's neighbor and every other negative behavior that comes to mind. So, just know if the behavior lacks Love, it is not of GOD.

Nov 14th 2009 2:40PM People complain that they believe in GOD, go to church, have faith, and still feel the impact of hard times financially, etc. That may be true, but how many of us seriously practice what we are taught? Faith is the Key. It helps you to to KNOW he will take care of you. It is not enough to Believe in GOD. Scripture admonishes us, "You believe there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe--and tremble! (James 2:19). "But do you want to know O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?" (James 2:20.) Faith is WORK at studying the bible and prayer so that you may learn how to form your own personal relationship with the LORD. So many of us only know him through the preacher. We have to ask the preacher to pray for us. So many of us NEVER study for ourselves. We think going to church once a week and maybe one evening of an hour's bible study is enough. It's not. Once you become serious in your studying and LEARN how to be obedient to his word, your prayers will go beyond the ceiling. Jesus himself said, "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you." (John 15:7). How can his words ABIDE in you if you don't know what they are? Once a week doesn't get it. And then you criticize Him for not answering your prayers. HE is not Santa Claus.
