I've recently graduated from college, but while I was in I managed to have seasonal jobs (usually right before, during, and after FINALS) while having a full load of classes.

I've been blessed to not have to work unless I wanted to and I'm blessed with a mother who's retired Army and despite my desire to work-- she kept telling me "you're in college to learn," so I've had no struggles because of her support. However, I'd like to work AND in the field I studied, because I have about $5k to pay back from dormitory living, and I refuse to have it hanging over my head and accruing interest! Joining the Peace Corps will rid me of that buzzing fly...

They may or may not have everything under the sun (we don't know that, therefore, don't assume), but at least she gave without being asked (which is what the article infers) and there is a possibility that her friends gave without questioning.

May 14th 2008 1:19PM It's too skimpy and distasteful. I don't blame the administrators for giving her limited options, because prom is a school function (even though it wasn't performed in school), therefore, still falls under school rules.

Her mother should be shot for letting her BUY that and have the AUDACITY to wear it in public.

Feb 24th 2008 1:11AM If you like someone of the opposite sex, then why feel the need to screw them, nev? Why not just be close friends? Reproducing/ reproduction may be a natural force, but you don't have to do it. You could abstain. *smile*

Now, I agree that creating children in alternative ways is risky with no warnings of possible shortcomings and mutations, etc...but admit it, a lot of men screw around and most of them don't want the children they create, or want to be in a relationship with the person they HELPED to make a child with, so, why not leave most men out of the equation?

Notice I wrote "MOST" several times. Not all.

Plus, it's funny to read the childish, ego-bruised responses of men who get so up-in-arms when the IDEA of not being wanted or needed arises. Hell, if men want to try to create their own children: THEN BY ALL MEANS--SIGN UP AND DO SO. I'm sure that will be hilarious.

And, as for homosexuality, well, apparently it's a part of nature as there are animals that participate in homo sex several times during their lifetimes. Humans (animals) have been discouraged when they have homosexual feelings, but science and evolution have not canceled out that so-called homo "BUG" as nev put it.

Plus, YOU may have evolved from a monkey nev but I sure as hell didn't. *wink*
