As an American, born in America I am a little put off by this. Delta Air Lines charges returning soldiers for checked bags {Gadling}

Jun 8th 2011 1:20AM Well, this is just another problem that Washington needs to address. We have soldiers that are returning home from war, and to be honest I wouldn't care if they had 5 bags each, they should not be charged.

We have service men risking there lives in Afghanistan and around the world not only to help free those in other countries from dictators but also protect Americans and our freedom, then if they live thru the hell they are in, they try and come home and we charge them to bring back their gear?

Delta's agent should have gone to a supervisor, and if he or she did not approve the free extra bags, then he or she should have gone to someone higher on the totem pole at Delta. The fact that exceptions would most likely be made for Congressmen (who do nothing but vote us into war), yet, make no exception for the guys who actually fight the war is inexcusable. I will never fly Delta, ever. ss

May 28th 2011 12:09PM Well, I think that before any final action is taken I would hire an investigator to check this principle Eisenbarth out. As soon as I read this article I thought this guy might be a pedophile. Let's face it there are a lot of them out there and they always seem to have jobs or hang out where there are small children.

I think this guy should be put on leave of absence until he is thoroughly vetted. What was he thinking? Who does this? Who the hell would think it's funny except a bunch of very young school children that are brainwashed into thinking it's a fun thing and who are too young to know it's wrong. Where is the oversight in this school system?

Just for not knowing what has been going on in this school by the principle I think the Board of Education Supervisor should also be put on leave of absence and what about all the teachers at this school. What college did these idiots go to?

But don't worry folks, everything will be all right, because all these teachers and the principle belong to the union, and probably can't get fired because they have tenure.

Of course, I'm being sarcastic with the previous paragraph, but do want to point out just how stupid these unions for teachers are. Just think if this little perverted game of spanking was going on for ten years and no teacher ever complained, I bet all you backers of unions would be all for it, unless of course one of your kids had been on the receiving end of the Birthday spanking.

Doesn't she understand that they don't give out awards just because someone is a certain color? I'm so sick of these kinds of remarks. Evidently no one of color did an outstanding job at acting this year. That's life. Ms. Goldberg should understand that people of color must earn their way, like the rest of us. ss

Dec 9th 2010 12:44AM It always amazes me how "men" seem to think they know so much about a woman, her body, mind and soul and now childbirth. I'm sure that since they have had personal experience in actually carrying a child for 9 months that they would be considered an expert on the subject. More importantly, their experience in giving childbirth (sarcasm) certainly would make me as a woman want to not only respect their opinion but also follow their experienced advice.
