Top Five Credit Score Myths {WalletPop}

Feb 24th 2011 11:59AM Make no mistake, the credit score wheel is weighted. The credit and debt industry is structured so that it is nearly impossible to emerge from any transaction without a lower credit score. This is because the banks make more money from people with lower credit scores. This is a nice politically correct article, but in my opinion the ONLY thing you can do to help your credit score is to pay your bills on time. Anything else can be twisted by the credit and debt industry to justify lowering your credit score.

SmackDown: Should Body Piercings Be Allowed in School? {ParentDish}

Sep 15th 2010 12:53PM Kids need to understand THERE WILL BE ORDER! A simple rule banning visible body piercings is nothing compared to the rules young people will encounter once they get their first cubicle in the corporate world. This young lady is perfectly free to get a piercing in some other location where it won't be visible to school officials and "practice her religion" that way.

Turner Motorsports prepping one-of-30 BMW M3 Frozen Gray coupes for racing {Autoblog}

Sep 15th 2010 9:39AM There's nothing special about these "one of 30" M3s except for the special paint color and matte clear coat -- and, of course, the price of the cars. I would not expect them to accrue collector value any faster or more readily than any other M3 coupe, and perhaps not at all given the knowledge obsolescence associated with the modern BMWs. And at the end of the day the "special paint" is just another shade of BMW gray not unlike the overwhelming majority of "regular BMWs."

Are airline passengers getting ruder? Deal with it! {Gadling}

Sep 9th 2010 8:14AM My solution the rapidly-approaching collapse (and, no doubt, Obama bailout) of the U.S. airline industry is simple: I don't fly unless it's absolutely necessary, and even then I will only fly for work -- work pays, not me. Show up a the airport early, check in, a half a Xanax and a highball later and no worries -- I'm very polite.

Under 1,000 miles, I drive and that's all there is to it. And I never fly for personal reasons anymore. It's too much of a miserable and dangerous experience thanks to Islamic terrorism.

'America's Next Top Model': Shockingly Skinny Model Stars in Video Clip - Is This a Sick Joke? {Stylelist}

Aug 12th 2010 12:46PM Throughout history there has always been a societal paradigm for female beauty and right now that paradigm is thin and young-looking. And that's all there is to it, folks.

The brunt of the criticism of that paradigm -- not surprisingly -- comes from women are not thin or young-looking, and who are upset that the majority of men around the world right now idealize an archetype that is not anything like them.

I certainly agree that it is not fair at all, but it is what it is -- no one gets to pick who they find attractive.

Someday the paradigm will change, and then thin young-looking women will fall out of favor. In the meantime, men being attracted to thin young-looking women is no different than women being attracted to testosterone-oozing six-foot-tall criminals with tattoos who would probably bat you off a wall if you stepped out of line. What any person finds attractive in their own mind is not necessarily logical, rational or even good for them.

BMW to celebrate Year of the Tiger with special edition M3? {Autoblog}

Aug 12th 2010 10:52AM First off, a driver in China needs a BMW M3 like a fish needs a bicycle. Secondly, BMW is getting so far into bed with the Chinese that we've now got Chinese counterfeit X5s running around Asia and a Chinese car company (BYD Auto) using a blantant copy of the trademarked BMW roundel. Try hanging a BMW roundel on the wall in your independent shop in the U.S. and see how long it takes before the lawyers show up.

This business with China is going to be the undoing of a lot of western companies.

Army to Court Martial Officer Who Doubts Obama Was Born in U.S. {Politics Daily}

Apr 15th 2010 2:22PM A lot of people think President Obama is not a U.S. citizen, and the existence of an unsigned, unnumbered birth certificate without a seal and with a form date of 2001, and which Hawaii refuses to produce the original, does not prove that he is a U.S. citizen.

The Democrats and the left-wing media like to portray "birthers" as some type of lunatic fringe but that's not necessarily the case. Here we have a U.S. Army Lt. Col. ready to give up his career because of his firm belief that the president is not a U.S. citizen. I'd be interested in hearing what Lt. Col. Lakin has to say.

Let freedom (and its fries) ring! {Gadling}

Mar 17th 2010 3:24PM Neither France nor French people are anti-U.S. France has a huge Muslim problem of their own making. Open borders immigration and the refusal of Muslim immigrates to assimilate into French culture has resulted in the increasing Islamification of France.

The government of France could not possibly support the Iraq war, however well justified that war may or may not have been, for fear their Muslim population would blow up -- literally.

The French people are waking up to their Muslim problem now, and starting to push back. I hope it's not too late for them, and I hope we don't reach that point here in the U.S.

Always remember: It isn't easy being French. And there is what the French government says and what the French government does -- they are not always the same thing. France is literally America's oldest allie. I say, Viva la France!

Report: NHTSA doesn't have any software or electrical engineers on staff to investigate Toyota {Autoblog}

Feb 24th 2010 7:37PM They don't have any software or electrical engineers, but I'll bet the NHTSA has plenty of insurance industry hacks onboard to legislate more insurance profits into NHTSA regulations! Best government money can buy...
