Kate Gosselin's New Hairstyle {Style List Blog}
Sep 15th 2009 7:21PM Kate is very much a Work In Progress when it comes to being a permanent fixture someplace on TV. She is displaying super poise, sensitivity, and character during this terrible stress filled period of her life. She looks very much like a winner to me and her kids will greatly benefit from having a successful, professional mother.
Is Jon Stewart America's most trusted financial voice? {Daily Finance}
Mar 12th 2009 4:22PM CNBC provides the best continuous coverage of the financial disaster in our Government. They have not hesitated to point fingers at Obama or anyone else who has (1) either their own agenda to promote, or (2) their own pocket to fill with skimmed taxpayers money. Their use of senior financial analysts from the floor or leading institutions has always been first class. If you want to rant and rave about the economy, watch the polished actors pretending to be analysts. If you want straight information, stick with Cramer and the many other true professionals at CNBC.
Wes Welker Penalized for Snow Angel {Fanhouse NFL Blog}
Dec 24th 2008 2:11AM
excessive demonstrating, taunting, obscene gestures, delay of game. All of those deserve a flag.
Spiking the ball, high fives, even the old smurf group jump, and a snow angel here or there - just fine. Change the rules.
Slightly Stoopid Escape Drug Bust ... Slightly {Spinner}
Nov 10th 2008 9:40PM Good kids? Academics? Community skills? Leadership qualities? Sorry, just trash with talent in an industry that specializes in trash.
"Dancing" Star Throws Hissy Fits {TMZ}
Sep 25th 2008 6:20PM The criticisms are pretty valid and a surprise for just week 1. Tells me the producers have done a terrible job in selecting some of the contestants. There are a good number of talented celebrities with style and class, but we could do without the offensive exceptions. We should not have to wait four or five weeks to weed them out. DWTS may lose a good number of supporters by then. Nothing wrong with black athletes, but how about Reggie Miller who is retired from NBA, only 43 now and always a class act. Much like Rice and Smith. Absolutely nothing wrong with non-black athletes either and the producers are showing a sad bias by going with three black football players now.
LPGA's English-Only Rule Backfires, Could Lead to Lost Sponsors {Fanhouse Golf Blog}
Sep 3rd 2008 7:20PM The English-only policy totally ignores our national heritage of cultural and language diversity. What really makes it stink is the blatent discrimination that eminates from private golf clubs, golfers with an elitist image stickling out of their rear end like an extra 3-iron, and the unmitigated arrogance to try and convince the general population that this is a reasonable rule. Sorry LPGA. You are losing credibility rapidly.
Spokesperson fiasco #6: Kirstie Alley and Jenny Craig {BloggingStocks}
Jul 17th 2008 6:37PM America loved Kate Smith because she carried her weight with dignity and worked hard to maintain her singing voice. The problem with Kirstie is that she's let her personality fall apart along with her weight. Too bad. Her future is still promising, but it's totally up to her. Lose the weight or kiss the career goodbye.
Potent Quotables: Moby's Marital Hopes {Spinner}
Apr 14th 2008 9:11PM If you haven't noticed, Britney is probably more popular now than ever. She still commands top dollar in any entertainment venture she wants to work in, and she's making steady progress to get her life back together. Not too shabby and most of us real human beings wish her the very best.
FanHouse Fast Five: No. 1 Hendrick Drought? {Fanhouse Motorsports Blog}
Mar 28th 2008 3:35PM Good cars and great drivers will eventually produce trips to victory lane. No hurry. In the meantime, Junior is trying to get some credibility under his belt after his major problems in the last two years. He wants to prove he belongs in the Hendrick's camp - and he's off to a super start. When the Hendrick's team starts winning, they're not going to stop. You can start practicing "Break up the dynasty!" now.
Airport Security Forces Woman to Remove Nipple Rings {Asylum}
Mar 28th 2008 2:47PM Shame about the location, but I would think the airlines can insist on removal of any unusual metalic devices. People who enjoy piercing should expect this special treatment.
