Supreme Court Choice Perfectly Positioned for Confirmation {Politics Daily}

May 10th 2010 4:24PM Ah, all these statements about having no experience as a judge. Two of the three most recent Chief Justices, both Republican appointed, had NO experience as a judge and the Conservatives seemed to think that was just fine. Sorry, that argument just does not fly for anyone with half a brain.

Why Liberals Are Right to Refuse to Honor the Confederacy {Politics Daily}

Apr 12th 2010 11:45AM The Civil War was a huge mistake based on a major flaw in the Constitution. Lincoln, who I don't think was a particulary great President, would have served the nation better by allowing the Southern States to go their own way. Then, just as now, they were the poorer and weeker states led by inflamatory, some say nutty, politicians. Slavery would have come to a natural end and several of the "lost" states would have returned to the Union in due time while others could have retained their duchy status. For sure, we wouldn't have had to deal with these idiots in the 21st Century.

Why Liberals Are Right to Refuse to Honor the Confederacy {Politics Daily}

Apr 12th 2010 11:33AM Though I am a great grandson of a Confederate General, there was nothing "honorable" about the Civil War. For South Carolina to attempt to void their agreement to be a part of the United States and for the States that followed that lead,the South deserves nothing more than condemnation. Yet the two generations of Republican governance that followed did little to repair the damage. Allowing a continuation of States Rights and allowing the continued degridation of blacks has led us to the mess we are in now. No, it is not just Liberals who should oppose this governor's actions but any thinking, decent person.

GOP Chairman Michael Steele Spends Lavishly on the Road {Politics Daily}

Mar 30th 2010 7:55AM The Speaker is third in line for the Presidency and her official duties take her all over the world. Any expenses she incurs are closely monitored and she's spending at the same rate at Newt or Dennis did. Steele is a paid staffer representing only the Republican Party and in line for nothing. Also, please note that it was a Conservative Republican group that uncovered these expenses.

House Passes Health Care Overhaul in Historic Win for Democrats {Politics Daily}

Mar 22nd 2010 8:25AM Before you use the Constitution as your standard, perhaps you should read it. Better still, read a book detailing how it was written, behind closed doors, often in secret, by elitist and well educated property owners. While the Constitution is the basis of our nation and among the greatest documents ever written, remember that it is imperfect and incomplete to this day. They go revolt, though reading a book on Shay's Rebellion may show you the folly of your actions.

Democrats' Momentum Building for Sunday Health Vote {Politics Daily}

Mar 19th 2010 9:57PM When Speaker Pelosi pulls this off, she will go down in history as one of the great leaders of the United States in history. Since universal health care was first proposed by Teddy Roosevelt, the greatest of Repbulican Presidents, it has been neglected by both parties. She deserves to be third in line for the Presidency.

Democrats' Momentum Building for Sunday Health Vote {Politics Daily}

Mar 19th 2010 1:11PM Do most posters lets alone the talking heads at Fox realize that the Constitution was written in near complete secrecy behind closed doors and that much of what is in the Constitution is based on "deals" made to various states? Either the Republican leadeship does not or they're just trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the American public.
