Apr 4th 2011 8:54PM First you have to have some talent other than having kids. She is not a star in any sense of the word. She's just been lucky so far, she was the oaf of DWTS and after all the news on here out there on her its no wonder her hubby went elsewhere. I pitty the kids having to live under that microscope of TV and growing up that way
Feb 22nd 2011 5:51PM Jefferson's library went to the Library of Congress not to the University of Virginia. He sold it to the Federal government after the Capital where the library was located was burned by the British in 1814
Feb 21st 2011 7:46PM NO he was shot by the ex vice President of the US Aaron Burr for messing up Burr's chances for the governorship of New York. 2 years later Burr was on trial for treason as he had attempted to sieze part of the Louisiana purchase and make it his own empire, he was aquitted because of a lack of evidence. Evidence since that time points out that Burr was in fact a traitor and attempted to take control of our far west regions
Feb 21st 2011 7:43PM re read article II No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
Hamilton was a citizen so he could have been but never was President
Feb 21st 2011 7:30PM One President Madison was President duing the war of 1812, Adams served from 1797-1801. Two the reason why we almost lost the war was because the British had to deal with Napoleon and had by 1814 he was in his first Exile and Britain brought its full weight to bear on the US. Hence the burning of Washington DC and the Failed Attack on Baltimore. 3rd the treay ending the war of 1812, signed on December 24, 1814 was signed in Ghent Belgium and battle of New Orleans took place on January 8 or 2 weeks later. Why because it took 3 to 4 weeks to get new of the treaty just to the burned out capital in DC. Neither Jackson nor his British counter parts would know of the treaty until late January at best
Feb 21st 2011 7:24PM If you read the Constitution Article 2 sec 1 Clause 5 it clearly states that any citizen of the US whether natural born or not was eligible for the Presidency. By 1840 it had been out dated as no person born prior to the Constitution was going to run, William Henry Harrison was our last pre Constitutional Born President. Washington was born in Virginia not the State the Commonwealth Colony of Great Britain.
Feb 21st 2011 9:58AM Per the Constitution anyone alive and in the US at the time of its creation could become President whether they were born here or not. Technically Washington thru Harrision were non US Citizens a birth they were all born as British Subjects. Art. II, Sec I Clause 5.
Feb 21st 2011 9:54AM Hamilton did not serve in the Continental Congress nor in the Congress of the Articles of Confederation. John Hancock was elected as President of the Continental Congress but it gave him no power over the states
